Social media users have urged a woman to leave her boyfriend after she shared a video on TikTok of him playing with her dog.
In a video that is dividing social social media users, a woman - who goes by the TikTok handle @bricksmom - shared the what she thought was a cheeky and harmless video of her boyfriend playing with her pet dog. The footage showed the pair playing in a backyard with the dog rope chew toy.
The text overlay on the short clip read: "Saw my bf was out playing with my dog today so I checked the cameras to see how it went..."
Now, before we go any further, as a dog owner myself, I 100% see absolutely no problem with the video - as it is something I have been guilty of doing. In fact, I'm sure many frustrated pet owners have done the same with their furry friends.
However, many people in the comments section caused an uproar, all because the guy called the dog a "d**k". Check out the post below:
So far, the video has received close to 280,000 likes and more than 3,000 comments.
But as I mentioned, rather than people seeing the funny side, they quickly called for the woman to dump her man - with people calling his behavior a "red flag".
"Ha, no, if he ain't treat my dogs like his babies THEN HE GOTTA GO," one person wrote, with a second agreeing: "Leave him he can’t treat your baby right."
Another added that the woman's boyfriend was exhibiting some major red flags, writing: "Tell us about the time ur boyfriend showed you a red flag?"
"Girl RUN [red flag emojis] see the warning signs. Dogs always know first" someone else chimed in.
"Dump him. can only imagine what else he has done or said to your poor dog," another comment read, with one person bluntly adding: "Break up with him".
Other users, however, quickly stuck up for the dog dad, speculating that maybe the dog had wanted to play fetch but then hadn't run for the toy when it was thrown.
Another pet owner shared: "Don't see why people are mad? I've said the same thing to mine when he quits playing. Like damn bro I was having fun."
One person urged the trolls to gain some clarity: "Y’all.... he called the dog a name. He didn’t kick the damn thing."
Soon after the original clip went viral, @bricksmom uploaded another video showing a "Part 2." That clip shows footage from the same day of the pair playfully engaging with the sweet pooch, with the text overlay on the video reading: "For everyone saying I should leave my bf for calling my dog a d**k."
You see, they're the best of friends!
But as I say, as a dog owner myself, I completely agree with the people sticking up for the poor fella. Because, at the end of the day, no matter how much we love them... dogs can sometimes be total d***s.
