Who has ever come home with something they didn't intend to have after a night of drinking?

Ask a room full of people this question and gaze around at the sheepish faces and vague recollections that are bound to emerge. Everyone has had at least one night out where they woke up the next morning and discovered they possessed a new object that they've never seen before in their lives, whether it's a traffic cone, an electric toothbrush or a pint glass.

But, let me ask you drunkards a question: have you ever stolen a dog while intoxicated? No, I don't mean a toy dog. I'm guessing the answer is no. However, for one young woman from England, the response would be yes, a thousand times yes.

Okay, well maybe not one thousand times over, but Toni Robinson from Walsall in the West Midlands has reportedly stolen three dogs on three separate nights out.

Her sozzled thievery came to light when the 26-year-old posted a Snapchat video in June that showed her waking up with a pooch in her room. Using a filter for her face, Toni begins the footage by telling the camera she has just woken up, afterwards moving it to show a black and ginger pup sitting on her bed. Her accompanying caption reads: "What the actual **f**k* how the hell did this even happen [sic]."

Speaking to The World News about the incident, Toni - who claimed to have no memory of taking the dog at first - explained that she and her friends had stumbled upon it unleashed and away from home.

She then expanded on exactly how the incident unfolded, stating: "We named the dog Violet as we were drunk on Parma Violet gin at the time. We shared a bed with the dog, who we later found out was named Princess, and had a deep chat with it on our night out. We didn’t even think about the owners."

The English young woman also reportedly admitted that it wasn't exactly the first time it had happened, saying: "This is the third time I have kidnapped a dog without realizing. When I woke up I realized what had happened when I heard the dog moving."

Fortunately for everyone, this story ends happily with Princess safely back with her owners. Once she had sobered up the next morning, the 26-year-old was able to locate the owners of the pup, who had been searching for the runaway pooch, and return Princess to her rightful home. All's well that ends well, eh?
