A video of an Instagram model being bitten on the buttocks by a pig, while posing in a bikini at the beach, has gone viral on social media this week.

Venezuelan model Michelle Lewin, who has over 13 million followers on Instagram, was visiting the shores during her vacation in the Bahamas and was being filmed doing so.

Then, all of a sudden, a large pig snuck up behind her and bit her on the left buttock. Michelle was understandably taken aback by the biting animal and shrieked in fear and pain as the porky beast chomped down. Luckily, Lewin wasn't seriously injured, but she did display the angry red bite mark that was left imprinted on one cheek.

Lewin first became interested in fitness when she was 17 and first started modelling after she discovered a love of working out. She took to social media to share her workout routines with her followers, and ever since then has become a big influencer with her own website and unique diet plans.

In a recent interview with the Fitness website Simply Shredded, Michelle stated:

"I’ve been modelling for a few years, and a part of my job was to stay in shape. I loved it and it led me to become a total gym rat. After months of intense training, the abs started to show and I was enjoying the fitness lifestyle. Suddenly the modelling requests were coming from Fitness Magazines and Supplement companies."

She added:

"There’s nothing more motivating than when you find a new vein! Am I crazy? Probably, but it’s true! Progress is what motivates me to keep pushing harder and not give up. Also, it’s extremely motivating to have so many female fans ... I just love to sweat like a maniac. So whatever I feel like: stair master, rollerblading around South Beach Miami or spinning classes. I keep the intensity high and make sure that I am always pushing my hardest."

This isn't the only porcine-related story doing the rounds lately, although this one is a lot more grisly. Last week, a Russian woman who hailed from a small village in Malopuginsky, Udmurtia was devoured by her own swine, after she suffered from an epileptic seizure and fell into the pig pen.

The hungry horde of bigs, whose appetites had been driven into overdrive, viciously attacked the 56-year-old owner and completely ate the woman’s face, shoulders and ears, before she died of severe blood loss. The woman’s husband, who was the only other person on the farm apart from her, had gone to bed early due to feeling unwell, and discovered his wife’s mutilated body shortly after.
