Britney Spears is seemingly in a very playful mood amid news breaking about her divorce from her estranged husband, Sam Asghari.
The couple announced last week that the are divorcing after just 14 months of marriage, having been together since 2016.
The Grammy Award-winning star took to Instagram to post a video of herself wearing nothing apart from pink underwear and a pair of black knee-high boots, covering her breasts with her hands as she writhed around on her bed.
Listening to 'I Put A Spell On You' by Annie Lennox, the 'Toxic' singer kicked her leg in the air and generally lived her best life, with almost 320,000 people liking the post to show their appreciation.
Later that night, Spears uploaded a further video, this time featuring a green dress, all her 'fav boys', and some serious leg licking.
The 41-year-old singer captioned the post: "When you go to meet up with a so called 'friend' and drive an hour for chicken !!! Then you have to wait in the car and need to use the bathroom ... I knew paps were tipped off because the car I was in was never used before … so how I was I followed ???
"Malibu Canyon Road is the most horrible road ever to drive on ... so what does a b***h like me do !!??! I put my green dress on and show up at my friends !!! I invited my fav boys over and PLAYED ALL NIGHT !!!"
Spears' video has been liked by 413,000 fans, with comments disabled on all her uploads in recent months. The hour-long chicken run in question was seemingly in reference to a Friday night's (August 18) venture to Dave's Hot Chicken in Oxnard, California, where the singer was snapped by paparazzi, reports Page Six.
On Saturday (August 19), Spears broke her silence on her divorce from Asghari with a dance video on Instagram captioned: "As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!!"
Spears added in the caption: "But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!!
"I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!!
"You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty damn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!"
Asghari released his own statement on Thursday (August 17) via his Instagram story, saying: "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together."
The Family Business star followed this up with a quite casual "s**t happens" after filing for divorce last Wednesday (August 16), citing the couple's official separation date as July 28.
A source told Page Six that allegations regarding infidelity and domestic abuse on Spears' part are untrue.
"There was no cheating. And he’s 6ft 2 and she’s 5ft 2, so how could she attack him?", the insider said.
"The honest truth of it is that it’s complicated, this wasn’t a whiplash decision, it’s been in the works for the past month. Britney wanted a fairytale and she didn’t get it. She felt that Sam’s love was not unconditional.
"He was not super present. He would just disappear for months to go filming and she would be left all alone. There were times when he would just get up and go."
