Hodor from 'Game of Thrones' has been filmed DJing in Ibiza
Game of Thrones has proven itself to be the most popular show on television time and time again. Since its debut in 2011, its gained more and more viewers. There are plenty of die-hard fans that have joined in the later years, finding the show easy to binge watch despite its many dark twists and tragic deaths (the phrase 'red wedding' still hurts).
When you have a show this popular, the actors behind the characters we love (or hate) so much are bound to become tied together for such a long time. I think most of us have been guilty of referring to Iwan Rheon as "Ramsay" rather than his actual name, or forgetting Peter Dinklage's name long enough to say "Tyrion" instead.
Truth is, many of these actors have become synonymous with their roles, and it will stay that way for quite a while - just look how long it has taken Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson to get away from being Harry and Hermione, and they are still those characters to many of us.
This has happened with even the more minor characters, such as Hodor. The man tasked with carrying around Bran Stark in the snow for a couple of seasons, Hodor's vocabulary was limited to saying his own name, kind of like a Pokemon, but nonetheless became a fan favourite. His final scenes in particular affected viewers across the world, and so it's hard not to think of him when you see actor Kristian Nairn.
But acting isn't Nairn's only pursuit. He has had another of other roles in television, but has focused more on his DJ career in the last few years. He used to be the resident DJ in a Belfast club named Kremlin, and later went on a tour of the U.S. in 2014, appropriately titled "Rave of Thrones".
Now, if you're not one of the lucky ones to have seen Hodor himself take to the stage on a night out, some videos have emerged that give you the chance to see what it is like. It turns out that the 41-year-old Irish actor was playing gigs in Ibiza just this week, with this video being uploaded onto Cafe Mambo's Facebook page.
The actor, who stands at a staggering 6'11, also puts a lot of content on his Instagram page, including photos and videos taken from his side of the stage during performances. If you want to see what life is like for Nairn post-Thrones, it looks like he's having a wild time.
You might still get a little choked up remembering what ended up happening to his on-screen counterpart, but it helps a little to know that, in a way, Hodor is having the time of his life DJing across the world. Now you've seen what Hodor looks like outside of the show, but did you know that Tormund, The Hound, Jorah and Beric formed a band behind the scenes?
