Kim Kardashian has revealed the exact moment she fell in love with Kanye West

Kim Kardashian has dominated the cultural landscape for some time now. In fact, it's becoming difficult to imagine a time when we weren't seeing her on our TV screens, a time where she was an obscure celebrity rather than a household name. Think about it - Keeping Up With The Kardashians wasn't even the start of her career, and that first aired back in 2007.

It's strange to think it was that long ago that many fans' obsession with the celebrity family began, and the same goes for Kanye West. His first studio album, The College Dropout, came out all the way back in 2004; 13 years ago. And he was working in the industry for a lot longer than that.

When the two first came out as a couple in public in 2014, and in only three years that went from a surprising match-up to an iconic couple that much of the media are fascinated with. But what came as a surprise to the public was also a surprise to those close to Kim and Kanye, as they had been platonic friends for a number of years.

Recently, on a 10th anniversary special episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim explained the origins of their relationship together:

"I met him in 2002 or 2003. He was recording a song with Brandy and I was her friend and vividly remember hanging out with him. Then they did a video together so I'd see him a few times.

"I remember he was asking his friends, ‘Who is this Kim Kar-de-jon?’ He didn't know what my name was and it was really cute.

"Right before I got married to Kris Humphries we were talking and I just went a different direction. I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted."

Kim and her previous husband Kris Humphries famously ended their marriage after only 72 days back in 2011. Host Ryan Seacrest asked Kim whether Kanye was pursuing her or showing any romantic interest in her before or during the marriage, to which she replied:

"I don't really know. I can't remember. Probably all of the above. After my break-up I was feeling really low and down and he was like, 'Just come to Paris and see my fashion show'. He jokes that he put on this whole fashion show just to get a date with me."

It was during this time they spent together that Kim not only decided she wanted to elevate her relationship with West to the next level, but she was having deep feelings for him already:

"I went and I stayed with him and that's where we started dating. I swear from the moment I landed and was there, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, 'Oh my god, why didn't I do this sooner? This is like what real life is like and love and fun and real support. This is what it is.'"

When two world-famous celebrities get together, it can be easy to forget that what may look like a strategic PR stunt may have much sweeter and innocent origins in reality. You know you've found a keeper if they put on an entire fashion show just to hang out with you.
