Kylie Jenner speaks out about 'frosty relationship' with sister Kendall
Love them or loathe them, it can feel at times that most of the world is hanging on the every word of the Kardashian/Jenner family.
Of late though, the family has endured a slew of negative PR stories. It all began with an ill-conceived Pepsi commercial featuring Kendall Jenner, that drew widespread criticism for apparently insensitive parallels to the Black Lives Matter movement. Kendall and sister Kylie found themselves in hot water once more after the pair were forced to a pull a range of t shirts that depicted images of musical icons with Instagram photos of the two sisters superimposed over the top.
Perhaps due to the nature of their fame, the Kardashian/Jenner family are placed under almost constant public scrutiny, though it would be bordering on the absurd to suggest that the family does not court celebrity and all of its trappings.
Through the televisual behemoth that is Keeping up with the Kardashians, viewers are confronted with seemingly every detail of the family's social mores, and now Kylie Jenner, with the release of her own spin-off show Life of Kylie has placed herself even more firmly in the spotlight.
As avid fans of Kylie and Kendall Jenner will doubtless already know, the pair aren't rumoured to exactly be the best of friends, and on a recent episode of Life of Kylie, the 20-year-old opened up on their relationship.
"We have different opinions. We do everything differently. It's so interesting" says Kylie, continuing "I don't think we'd be friends if we weren't sisters".
The pair have been known to fallout on Keeping up with the Kardashians before, including a phone conversation in which Kendall attempted to explain a rough plane landing to her sister on the phone, saying;
"It's like how they land their planes here, they're like famous for it but it's fine. They've never had an accident where anyone's ever been hurt. It's literally a 10 minute flight and the process is two minutes long, you'll be fine. Hello?"
Only to find that Kylie had hung up the phone. "I hate her so much sometimes", Kendall is then heard telling Kourtney.
Kylie Jenner also opened up about her relationship with her father on Sunday's episode of Life of Kylie, saying that the pair grew closer after she witnessed her close friend Jordyn Woods lose her own father;
"When Jordyn lost her dad, it definitely made me appreciate my dad a little more.
"It was a wake-up call that nothing lasts forever and we just have to appreciate the people that we love while they're here."
Meanwhile, Caitlyn Jenner has recently revealed that she hasn't spoken to Kim Kardashian West in some time, after the former's book The Secrets of my Life lead to strains on their relationship.
It seems that, even in the seemingly idyllic lives of the Kardashian/Jenner family, it is not always plain sailing.
