Amber Heard recounts horrific abuse she suffered at the hands of 'monster' Johnny Depp
Amber Heard has opened up about the horrific abuse she suffered at the hands of ex-husband Johnny Depp, according to a shocking new court filing, Page Six reports.
This is in response to a defamation lawsuit filed by Depp in March, following Heard's op-ed written for the Washington Post last year about suffering at the hands of an abuser.
Now, Amber Heard has gone into extensive, sickening detail about Depp's alleged abuse over the course of their 15-month marriage, which ended in May 2016. In these latest filings, Heard alleged that Depp, 55, became violent and aggressive after taking drugs and alcohol.
At one point, Depp was allegedly embroiled in a three day bender, a time period in which Heard recounts a string of horrifying and violent abuse she suffered. "Johnny grabbed me by the neck and collarbone and slammed me against the countertop," Heard said during this bender.
"I struggled to stand up as he strangled me, but my arms and feet kept slipping and sliding on to the spilled alcohol and were dragged against the broken glass on the countertop and floor, which repeatedly slashed my feet and arms."
Scared for her life, Heard allegedly said that Depp ignored her pleas for him to stop, before the actress was able to escape and barricade herself. Heard locked herself away for the next three days, and said that Johnny Depp continued for that time period without sleeping.
"On the third day of Johnny staying awake without sleeping, I came downstairs to find numerous messages Johnny had written to me around the house, on the walls and on my clothes, written in a combination of oil paint and the blood from his broken and severed finger. Johnny also urinated all over the house."
The actress also said that Depp had threatened to kill her if she tried leave him: "He grabbed me by my hair, slapping me in the face, and screaming at me something like, 'I f**king will kill you — I’ll f**king kill you, you hear me?'"
Heard also recounted the moment she decided to file a restraining order against the Pirates of the Caribbean star, after he attacked her again in May 2016. Heard says that their neighbour heard her screams through the walls, and stood between them, begging the actor to stop as Depp allegedly screamed: "Amber get the f**k up."
"[Johnny Depp] wound up like a baseball pitcher and threw the phone in my face, as hard as he could. I yelled, ‘You hit my face,’ and started to cry... Johnny grabbed my hair and started to slap, shake and yank me around the room while I continued to scream."
"Johnny smashed various objects around the house with a wine bottle as he left... Johnny smashed more items in the hallway, spilled wine everywhere, and kicked a hole in a solid door," Heard explained.
Page Six says that Heard’s attorney, Eric M George, could not be reached immediately for comment, but said previously that Johnny Depp had continually harassed his client.
"This frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced. Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behavior."
Johnny Depp or his lawyers are yet to comment on the new allegations made by Heard.
