Amy Schumer gets hilariously real with 'breast pump' Instagram photo
Amy Schumer has taken to Instagram to share a very real snap of the reality of life as a new mother - breast pump and all.
It has been exactly three weeks since she and her husband Chris Fischer welcomed their baby boy Gene Attell Fischer into the world.
And since then, the 37-year-old first-time mom has wasted no time in revealing the most unglamorous aspects of motherhood, including this pic of her using a breast pump in order to feed her little one.
Check out the moment Amy Schumer opened up about her husband being on the Autism spectrum:
"Guys what are we doing tonight?" she captioned the snap with the hashtags #schumerpump and #ootd.
It's an accessory that many new mothers the world over will be acquainted with, but it's not exactly the most typical post-pregnancy post for someone of Schumer's high-profile status.
But the I Feel Pretty actress isn't actually the first star to post a photo of herself using a breast pump.
In fact, back in 2017, Pink posted a mirror selfie in which a breast pump can be seen attached to her chest, including the hashtags #pumpupthejams and #mombreak in the caption.
It's great that celebs like Schumer and Pink, are choosing to focus on the realities of becoming a mother, rather than presenting unattainable goals of 'bouncing back' or of being perfect at multitasking with a new infant in tow.
Yes, they're all about highlighting the seldom-discussed (in Hollywood, anyway) aspects of motherhood - sort of like one of Schumer's previous snaps, posted on Mother's Day (just a week after the birth of her son).
The picture shows Schumer still in hospital a week after giving birth, and sitting on a toilet while attached to an IV drip stand.
She captioned the hilarious shot, "Milf alert 1 o’clock".
Well, I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what other motherhood-related pics Schumer has in store for us!
