Pregnancy is one of the strangest experiences your body can go through.  Your hormones fluctuate, your appetite goes up and down, and your mood can change in an instant. You could develop back or knee pain due to all the extra weight you're carrying around. Not only that, but actually having a baby inside of you can take some getting used to, especially when it decides to start kicking you from the inside. That's not even getting to the subject of the labour and birth itself. Yes, there are lots of things that people don't tell you about the experience. But one of the biggest is morning sickness.

One person who's not ashamed to open up discussion about this issue is actress and comedian Amy Schumer. Schumer's never been one to shy away from being outspoken in her routines, or to shy away from the less-than-glamourous sides of herself. This week, she shared a graphic video of herself vomiting after a stand up show on Instagram, to show her followers how rough her pregnancy has been at times.

Please be warned that if you're squeamish you might not wish to watch the following video.

Schumer captioned the video: "Turn sound off if you have a weak stomach. This was my ride to my show at @tarrytownmusichall tonight and a picture from the end of my set. I love doing stand-up more than anything and I hate cancelling shows. I have to postpone some until I feel human again. But I will make up these dates and we will have a great time. I’m so proud of my stand up right now and can’t wait to share it. Thanks to the amazing crowd tonight for being so warm and such great laughers and for being cool with my sweatpants and slippers on stage."

The caption then took a somewhat political turn, as Schumer added: "Shots by @marcusrussellprice we are shooting a doc of me these past few months leading up to a special I'm filming and you will see that I’m struggling right now. But I’m so grateful and excited to be a mom. I’m grateful I have access to healthcare, as we all should have. But I guess what I’m really saying is F*ck Hyde-Smith and anyone who voted for her. My feelings on her are best expressed by the above video. And I don’t usually agree with speaking ill of crackheads, but she has a crackhead looking mouth. Tiny racist teeth confederate ass campaign with her crack mouth said she would attend a public hanging."

Schumer first announced that she was pregnant with her husband, the chef and farmer Chris Fischer, back in October 2018. She again took to Instagram to post a photo of Harry and Meghan, which she'd edited by superimposing the heads of her husband Chris Fischer and herself. It's a shame that she's been going through some bad nausea, but I'm sure that it'll all be worth it when her cute little baby is finally delivered.
