When you pursue an acting career, you create an online profile with your experience, talents and measurements. Also, you have to have to specify what you are willing, or not willing, to do. For example, would you be comfortable doing a nude scene? Would you be comfortable kissing a member of the same sex? And would you be comfortable dying your hair, or shaving it all off, for a part?

Last year, model and actress Cara Delevingne shaved off her locks for the film Life In A Year. In the romantic drama, Daryn, played by Jaden Smith, discovers his girlfriend, Isabelle, played by Cara, has terminal cancer. Since she only has one year to live, he sets out to give her an entire life in 365 days. When asked what it was like to shave her head, Cara told Glamour, "[It felt] totally liberating. But it does feel like people read my mind more. I feel like people see my thoughts."

The experience led Cara to meditate on how the loss of hair affected her perception of beauty. "Its exhausting to be told what beauty should look like," she wrote on Instagram. "I am tired of society defining beauty for us. Strip away the clothes, Wipe Off the make up, cut off the hair. Remove all the material possessions. Who are we? How are we defining beauty? What do we see as beautiful? The more we embrace who we are as people and rely less on our physical attributes, the more empowered we become. Beauty shouldn’t be so easily defined. It is limitless."

That's a pretty inspiring message, reminder us know that beauty is in eye the beholder, and we don't let society's wicked funhouse mirror poison our feelings. But you know what's even better? A three-second video of a naked, bald Cara Delevingne doing a Gollum impression.

On Instagram, Cara shared this terrifying video for Throwback Thursday. In the clip, she does a dead-on Gollum voice, wheezing "My precious!" And thanks to those distinctive dark eyebrows, she absolutely looks the part. It may be her finest acting work yet, and I'm not even throwing shade. Just like we've all done impressions of Borat, Austin Powers and Batman, we've all done impressions of Gollum, and Cara's audition is outstanding.

Currently Amazon is working on a television series based on Lord of the Rings. Reportedly the show is a prequel, focusing on Aragorn's early years. It is not clear if Gollum, aka Smeagol, will be involved. However, if Andy Serkis remains uninterested in playing the part, I vote they pick Cara Delevingne. This could be her Oscar role.
