This week, Cardi B finally gave her side of the story in more detail when she spoke to W magazine. Opening up about the feud, the I Like It rapper claimed her breaking point had come when she saw Nicki "like and unlike" a tweet disparaging her parenting skills, something that happened after she thought the two of them had come to an "understanding".

"For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me," she explained. "I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going. I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter. I love my daughter. I'm a good-ass fucking mom. So for somebody that don't have a child to like that comment?"

She went onto explain a question that many had been pondering: why did she try to confront her rival at the Fashion Week party instead of doing it privately?

"So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block," she said.

The pair's battle first escalated back in August when at a New York Fashion Week party where the 25-year-old star reportedly approached Nicki's table to talk about "the lies [Nicki] was spreading".

Afterwards, Cardi allegedly hurled a shoe in Nicki's direction and left the party barefoot, showing off a large bump on her head.

Since this dramatic incident, both musicians have been at each other's throats.

Without explicitly naming Nicki, Cardi took to Instagram to seemingly address the Chun-Li rapper on Instagram, stating that she had spread lies behind her back and convinced other artists to not work with her.

"I've let a lot of s**t slide!" she wrote. "I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat. You've threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f**kin with them!! I let you talk big shit about me!!"

She continued:

"I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**kin off! I've worked so hard and come too far to let anybody f**k with my success!!!!
