Even since he starred in Magic Mike, and jiggled and gyrated his way into your dreams, whether you wanted him to or not, Channing Tatum has enjoyed a reputation as one of the most attractive actors in Hollywood. When you hear his name, you can't help but picture his chiseled physique, sultry smirk and carefully combed brown hair.

However, now the 38-year-old actor has debuted a brand new look, and people have mixed feelings about it. On Instagram Stories, Tatum shared a sexy selfie, where he poses shirtless, wearing a golden cross necklace, and points to his new haircut. Instead of rocking slicked-back brown hair, he had a blond buzzcut, like Eminem in the early 2000's.

The 21 Jump Street star asked his followers to give him feedback on his midlife crisis by attaching a poll. "Bad idea? Haha” he asked. Then, presumably, he set down his phone and danced around his house, rapping, "I'm the real Tatum, yes I'm the real Tatum, all you other Channing Tatums are imi-tatums, so won't the real Channing Tatum please stand up, please stand up, please stand up?"

In 2014, the Step Up star sported a lighter color while visiting Peru with then-wife Jenna Dewan, but he did not go full Eminem.

Anyway, back to the poll! Was dying his hair blond a bad idea? As of Tuesday afternoon, 59% of Tatum's followers voted "Yes," and 41% voted "No," according to People. Ouch. That's the most worst feedback he's gotten since starring in Jupiter Ascending, the Wachowski's notorious 2015 space opera flop. The film was directed by the Wachowski's, whom you remember fondly for producing The Matrix, but Jupiter Descending was no Matrix, scoring a 26% on Rotten Tomatoes.

In response to the poll results, Tatum wrote, "Well, bad ideas are sort of my thing, so..," with a shrugging emoji. Speaking of bad ideas, let's back to Jupiter Ascending. It was a box office bomb, but the synopsis sounds kind of intriguing:

"From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, 'Jupiter Ascending' tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks.

"Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along-her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos."

Rotten Tomatoes' critical consensus reads: "Pleasing to the eye but narratively befuddled, Jupiter Ascending delivers another visually thrilling misfire from the Wachowskis."

One could say the same for Channing Tatum's new look - "a visually thrilling misfire." He got the Jupiter Ascending of haircuts.
