Chrissy Teigen left a huge tip for an Ohio waitress

Let's give Chrissy Tiegen all the clapping emojis because – once again – she has stolen our hearts and won over the internet with a very good human deed today. The queen of Twitter (plus hoodlum wife to muso John Legend and sweet mother to baby Luna) was visiting a restaurant last weekend and did a very nice thing for a young waitress.

The 21-year-old waitress from Ohio named Mikayla Scott said Chrissy Tiegen left her a humongous tip – the largest she'd ever received – when she came in to the restaurant Scott worked at last week.
Chrissy, Luna and a few other people visited Centerville Outback Steakhouse on October 27 for a bite to eat, just before it was closing. Scott was working that day, and after spotting the celebrity seated in the restaurant, she got a bit nervous to serve her.

“She walked in with all her glam,” Scott recalled. “I was so nervous I was going to do something wrong.”

But it looks like she did a more-than-alright job, after Chrissy decided she'd leave a very generous tip of $1,000 for the young waitress. According to our calculations, that a whopping 516 percent tip on the $193 bill, which is way, way, WAY above the customary 20 percent.

"I was like, ‘Oh my god, praise the Lord,'" said the 21-year-old, who was clearly surprised by the huge tip, even though she said, “People kept saying you are going to get a fat tip". She said that she put the money towards fixing her family's car, plus she ended up sharing some of it with her co-workers.

People were impressed with the model's generosity, considering that people working in the hospitality industry in America rely heavily on the tips they earn to make a living.

Chrissy was visiting Ohio with John and Luna, not for business, not for a show, but because John grew up there and went to watch a local football game. ADORABLE. John visited his hometown and supported his high school's football game in a match between Kettering Fairmont and Springfield (the latter for whom he rooted for).

At one point, John walked into the Steakhouse with his dad to pick up Luna, but then he left to go and meet friends – I'm guessing high-school buddies – elsewhere.

And what exactly did Chrissy order? Apparently a crispy chicken sandwich and a bunch of appetizers including a Steakhouse Quesadilla and Outback’s famed Bloomin’ Onion.

“‘You have to take this away from me,’” Scott recalled Teigen saying. “‘I am going to eat it all.’”

She and John are known to be big fans of the signature onion dish.

“It was an awesome experience,” Scott said, to sum up what it was like serving Teigen at the steakhouse. We're sure it was, and we're all a teeny bit jealous.
