Chrissy Teigen is known to some as the 'Queen of Twitter,' and she's pretty much the queen of Instagram too. While she is perhaps best known for her modelling career and forays into television, co-hosting the hit TV show Lip Sync Battle, she has also seen success as a cookbook author - with her second title, Cravings: Hungry For More, being released in September.

However, a lot of us know her for her social media posts, whether they're funny looks into her day-to-day life with her two young children and husband John Legend on Instagram, or simply funny quips on Twitter.

This being the internet, even her less wordy posts, in which she shares photos of her kids, can spark a long debate in the comment section. For instance, there was the time she was mom-shamed by some of her fans for one photo she took with her son Miles, who was born earlier this year.

In early July, she posted a photo of herself holding both Miles and Luna, along with the caption: “Should I post the one where his head looks unsupported but my face looks good and Luna is over it, the one where his head is supported but my face is just okay and Luna is over it, or him crying and my face looks okay and luna is over it?”

Soon after, the commenters came to criticise her for having her baby under the glare of the sun, as if she stood in this exact pose for hours at a time and didn't just do it for a photo. "Why is that baby out in the sun like that ?that’s why he crying," one wrote, while another said that Miles didn't "look too happy with the sun in his little eyes". Teigen replied: "he told me he loves it".

Now, she has continued to present herself in an open way, sharing a video of her stretch marks on her Instagram story earlier this week. Teigen is currently on vacation in Bali with her husband and two kids, and chose to focus on an aspect of post-pregnancy that isn't often talked about.

Teigen gave her fans a close-up look at the stretch marks on her thighs and lower back, saying, “I guess these just aren’t going to go away. This is my new body.”

On Twitter, Teigen also shared her views on “people with killer bodies” on Instagram:

“Instagram is crazy. I think it’s awesome people have killer bodies and are proud to show them off (I really do!!) but I know how hard it can be to forget what (for lack of a better word) regular ol’ bodies look like when everyone looks bonkers amazing.

“Also I don’t really call this “body confidence” because I’m not quite there yet. I’m still super insecure. I’m just happy that I can make anyone else out there feel better about themselves!”

While there are always those that will criticise her actions, Teigen's honest look into what having kids is really like can only be a positive thing.
