Former child star, Corey Feldman, has been attacked and stabbed multiple times in what is allegedly being treated as a murder attempt.
The 46-year-old, who starred in 80's classics such as Stand By Me and The Goonies, tweeted pictures of himself in a hospital bed, stating that he believes the attack was carried out due to his recent allegations regarding sexual abuse and pedophilia in the entertainment industry.
According to Feldman's account, the attack took place when his two security guards were distracted.

Taking to Twitter, Feldman wrote: "I'M IN THE HOSPITAL! I WAS ATTACKED 2NITE! A MAN OPENED MY CAR DOOR & STABBED ME W SOMETHING! PLEASE SAY PRAYERS 4 US!"

"THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY MYSELF & MY SECURITY IN THE CAR, WHEN 3 MEN APPROACHED! WHILE SECURITY WAS DISTRACTED, W A GUY A CAR PULLED UP & ATTACKED! I’M OK!".

In the months that followed the New York Times's exposé of the now-disgraced film mogul, Harvey Weinstein, Corey Feldman was one of the more prominent figures to step forward to claim that he, as well as several of his fellow child actors, were sexually assaulted while working in Hollywood.

Back in November, Feldman alleged that that himself and Corey Haim, who passed away in 2010, were passed around among pedophiles while they were working as children.

"There are people that did this to me and Corey that are still working, they’re still out there, and they’re some of the most rich and powerful people in this business. And they do not want what I’m saying right now. They want me dead,” he said in an interview regarding his novel, Coreyography.

The Gremlins star also claimed that Haim asked him to reveal the "truth" prior to his death. Speaking to E! he stated, "Corey asked me to make sure that if he died before me that his story was told. I am doing exactly that… The only thing left is he wants people to know who the assailant was, and I hope to God that one day that story can be told, too."

Feldman has previously asserted there were six abusers, "one of whom is still very powerful today".

In a follow-up tweet, the actor added that he believes the attack was "revenge" for his recent claims. "I HAVE HAD MOUNTING THREATS ON ALL SM PLATFORMS BY THIS VILE “WOLFPACK” & THIS IM SURE IS A RESULT OF THOSE NEGATIVE ACTIONS!," he wrote.

" I HAVE REASON 2 BELIEVE ITS ALL CONNECTED! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! HOW SICK R THESE PPL?!?"

The LAPD are purportedly investigating this incident as an attempted homicide.
