Critics claimed that Will Smith doesn't know the words to 'La Bamba' and his response is everything

Is there anything Will Smith can't do?

In between starring in endless multi-award winning and high grossing movies, the actor has managed to forge himself an astonishingly successful rap career - known for his clean lyrics and super fast delivery style - and honed an impossibly toned physique that leaves men envious and women star struck.

Despite only joining Instagram in December, Smith has already amassed a huge number of followers on the picture sharing site - stretching well into the millions.

In fact, it's probably time that we stop listing things the man can do and start looking for some he can't. One thing we can definitely add to the actor's list of strengths is ripping his son on Instagram, something he did expertly and to hilarious effect recently when he parodied Jaden's Icon music video.

Jaden was clearly proud of his album, not least the huge amount of plays it has received, as he told Complex;

"Syre really just came to me one day. I didn’t know what I was going to call the album, but one day it really really came. I don’t know what happened. It was like a switch—from one second to another, my whole life switched. I realized that Syre was the answer, what I had to move forward with.

"People love to just talk about me by name and say, 'Oh, Jaden Smith this, Jaden Smith that.' It’s time for a new awakening and a new consciousness. Anybody who thinks they know me, this album is something completely different from what they think."

True to form, Will Smith gave his son a bit of fatherly love in a congratulatory video, which is well worth a watch:

He did make sure his son he was proud of him, however, writing;

"J Diddy! I'm proud of you, baby. One hundred million streams! Congratulations, man. A hundred million. Congrats! I love you."

Now, a few days after he posted a video of himself jamming along to La Bamba with a steel drum band, the actor has responded to those sacrilegious individuals who suggested he might not, in fact, know the lyrics to the famous tune.

Here's the original video;

And here's proof that Smith definitely does know the lyrics;

Now that is impressive.

Credit where it's due to Smith's son, Jaden, too, it takes a great amount of effort and skill to carve one's own career path with such success when you have to compete with the huge and ever-looming shadow of your dad being one of the most famous men on the planet. Jaden has made sure he is not known simply as Will Smith's son, but as an artist and celebrity in his own right.

Just don't expect his dad to stop ripping him in the meantime.
