Dax Shepard slams reports he cheated on Kristen Bell with Julie Andrews' granddaughter
For the price of fortune and fame, celebrities live in the spotlight. Paparazzi photographers trail them everywhere and the tabloids feverishly report the intimate details of their personal lives. Some people might say that's a fair arrangement. However, it must be incredibly frustrating when a scandalous story isn't true.
Like John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are one of the most beloved celebrity couples. They've regaled us with charming stories, like that time when Kristen breastfed Dax and that time when Dax surprised Kristen with a sloth for her birthday. So adorable! If they ever separated, they'd break the internet's heart.
And recently the internet got quite a scare. The Daily Mail published a story claiming that Dax cheated on Kristen with acting legend Julie Andrew's granddaughter, Kayti Edwards. To prove the salacious rumor, they posted a series of photos that show Dax and Kayti making out in a photo booth. The story claims the pictures were taken at a party in 2009, two years after Dax and Kristen began dating. Could it be that they're NOT #CoupleGoals?!
Well, it turns out the rumor was false. Dax slammed the report on Instagram, pointing out that the photos were taken in 2005, not 2009, and that Kayti Edwards has a history of selling celebrity stories. The Parenthood star wrote, "Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9. Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me. I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it's about my #1, Brad Pitt :)"
Now you can rest easy, knowing that Dax and Kayti did not "reignite their romance with a night of steamy sex behind Kristen's back." Speaking of falsehoods, Kristen recently revealed that she occasionally lies to her own children, 5-year-old Lincoln and 3-year-old Delta.
During an appearance on The Today Show, she admitted that she lies to them about what time it is, because they "can't tell time.""I've also lied to them about when their birthday is," she added. "If it's on like a Wednesday and we can't celebrate and we're both working late, then guess what, your birthday is on Saturday. They don't know."
The Good Place star went on to reveal a controversial trick she uses to put her youngest daughter to sleep: "My 3-year-old decided to stop sleeping about nine months ago," said Kristen. "And every night, when we put her to bed, she turns the lights on, which annoys the 4-year-old, and she will move furniture, and she bangs on the door with different, hard toys."
The solution? "We switched the door knob. We turned the lock on the outside," Kristen asserted. "I’m sorry, I know that’s controversial, but we lock it when she gets in there, and we stand outside and say, ‘We love you, we will talk to you in the morning, but now, it’s time for sleep.’ And after about 10 minutes, she’ll wind herself down. And then, before we go to bed, obviously, we unlock it."
See how many cute stories we'd miss out on if they broke up?
