In his twenty-year career, Eminem has feuded with everyone from the Insane Clown Posse to Ja Rule to Machine Gun Kelly. However, his latest beef is with a very surprising opponent: Netflix. (And no, it's not because Machine Gun Kelly had a small part in the movie Bird Box.)

This week the streaming service cancelled Marvel's The Punisher, and Slim Shady was not happy about it. Well, he's never really happy, is he? He smiles so seldom that someone recently Photoshopped huge grins onto his pictures, creating a hilarious meme. But even by Eminem standards, he's pretty upset about the news.

On Twitter, the 46-year-old rapper posted an angry all-caps message about the cancellation.  "DEAR @NETFLIX," he wrote. "REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!! SINCERELY, MARSHALL." Notice that he used the letter format, just like his famous single Stan? I guess this means Slim Shady is officially a Punisher stan. I hope the star, Jon Bernthal sends his daughter an autograph on a Starter cap.

Netflix previously cancelled four other Marvel shows, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. In 2017, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings explained that he pulls the plug on shows due to low viewership (obviously). However, it's hard to ignore the fact that the Marvel shows are owned by Disney, and Disney is preparing to launch its own streaming service with original content, Disney+, a direct competitor to Netflix.

In an open letter posted on Marvel.com, producer Jeph Loeb hinted that the Defenders' stories could continue. "On behalf of everyone at Marvel Television, we couldn't be more proud or more grateful to our audience," wrote Loeb. "Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters... but you know Marvel better than that... As Matthew Murdock's dad once said, ‘The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it's how he gets back up.' To be continued...!"

It's not clear if Loeb is referring to a reboots, or reviving the cancelled shows with the same actors. Well, hopefully they'll announce The Punisher's return soon, or avoid suffering the wrath of Slim Shady. On Twitter, Eminem fans joked that a diss track was imminent, and shared a parody of the Killshot artwork, substituting Machine Gun Kelly's manbunned head for the Netflix logo.

You might be surprised to see Marshall Mathers get so passionate about The Punisher. However, longtime Eminem stans remember that he collaborated with the vigilante on a comic book in 2009. Seriously. In the issue, entitled Eminem/Punisher #1, Shady gets jumped by the The Punisher after a concert and they team up to take on the supervillain Barracuda with a chainsaw. In screenshots of shared on Twitter, Eminem quotes lyrics from his iconic song Kill You, because of course he does.

Watch out, Netflix! You don't want to end up like Ja Rule.
