Fans don't believe Kylie Jenner went 'makeup free' for this cover shoot

2018 has already proved to be a great year for Kylie Jenner. The beauty mogul was crowned queen of the Kardashians after it was revealed that she is on course to become the the youngest "self-made" billionaire in history, and back in February, she gave birth to her first child with Travis Scott, following a year of non-stop tabloid speculation.

And her star is only on the rise. The 21-year-old, whose makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics, is responsible for making her a veritable billionaire, reached a huge milestone in her career this month when she appeared on the cover of Vogue for the first time.

And despite her fondness for lip-liners and contouring, Kylie decided to go makeup free for the shoot. Well, at least that's what her makeup artist claims...

Taking to Instagram, Kylie's makeup artist, Ariel Tejada, wrote, "This is So Major!! @vogueaustralia I would love to Say Makeup by me! but its Really Moisturizer by Ariel. I feel beyond blessed to be apart of this moment with you @kyliejenner".

The snaps quickly started making the rounds on social media, with many Twitter users coming out to praise the beauty mogul for baring her natural skin. Others, however, thought the makeup free claims were more akin to "fake news".

"She literally has her eyebrows done and is wearing mascara in or falsies plus highlighter and Foundation this is 100% not makeup free..." one Twitter user wrote, while another corroborated "Girl I’m not throwing shade but she is absolutely wearing foundation. Either she is, or they photoshopped the hell out of her face, and if they did that then why even brag about being natural? She has tons of freckles and you can’t see a single one in these pics due to foundation."

A third added, "Kylie jenner goes makeup free for vogue” is such a scam. girl everyone would all be makeup free with eyelash extensions, fake lips, and micro bladed brows."

Yes, it's safe to say that people were throwing some serious shade...

Well, regardless of whether you believe that Kylie did go "makeup free" for her Vogue cover shoot, one thing's for sure: she's still earning more money that we ever will on the back off lip kits and eyeshadow palettes.
