Over the weekend, it was revealed that two of the '90s pop group the Spice Girls had slept together - or, at least that was what one of them said of their past. With just a few months left before they begin their greatly-anticipated Spice Girls 2019 reunion tour, it was Mel B to drop the news, claiming she had slept with bandmate Geri Halliwell.

Halliwell now goes by Horner, after marrying husband Christian Horner in 2015, and has had one child for the F1 mogul. Mel B joked that she and her husband wouldn't be happy about her announcing it to the world, but did hope that Geri wouldn't deny what she said.

The revelation first came out in an interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, where the host noted the rumours over the years asked the 43-year-old "Did you sleep with Geri?" The former Scary Spice answered: "Yeah and I've said it now," before adding: "she is going to kill me and so is her husband."

Mel B, who has been open about her bisexuality in the past, first avoided the question by saying she slept in a bed with all of the band, but then opened up about Geri specifically.

"She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it. We were best friends. It just happened. Have you ever done that? Yeah and I’ve said it now. All done."

In addition to this, she said that she had kissed Mel C (who was in the audience as she spoke), but in that case there was "nothing sexual" about it.

While so far it's been reported that Mel B had to call Geri's husband after he was upset about the news, there hasn't been any official response from Geri on the matter - though I'm sure everyone's eagerly awaiting it. Of course, when this news made it out there, the internet was going to look far and wide for any receipts it could get - and we may have just found a clue.

Geri did an interview with Howard Stern back in 2003, where she admitted that she'd had a one-off sexual encounter with another woman. And if her candid quote on the matter is anything to go by, she was happy to talk about how she hooked up with another celeb - as long as she could keep the name to herself.

"I had lesbian sex once. I realised quickly I was not a lesbian," she said. "I don’t mind boobs but the other bit is not my cup of tea."

"I didn’t like the lesbian thing. It is part of experimenting. I was drunk at the time. I could never ever say who it was. I don’t think she was a lesbian either. I’m going to leave the rest to your imagination."
