2018 has certainly been the year of the whirlwind celebrity engagement. After Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson chose to consolidate their love with a stone worth more than all our annual salaries (RIP), Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, and Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin decided to jump on the bandwagon too.
The Sorry singer took to Instagram to announce his engagement to the model back in July, following reports that he had popped the question while the two were vacationing in the Bahamas.
"Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!" he wrote. "So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make."

However, the couple, who are now reportedly married, have had to brave their fair share of criticism over their relationship.
Hailey posted an emotional message to Instagram yesterday, calling for people to stop judging about things they know nothing about.
"It's hard to focus on your well being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, your relationship, or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive," she asserted. "I just don't believe we're called to live a life where we're so easily caught up in strangers opinions on something they have NOTHING to do with. We need to take a step back and realize we need to express more love and encouragement to one another instead of consistently tearing people down and judging. And I won't let people make me feel like I'm doing something wrong by enjoying my life and being happy."
