Harry Potter's Padma Patil just got married and there was an adorable cast reunion
While Padma Patil will forever be remembered as the sassier of the Patil twins, ("Don't you look... dashing," anyone?) it's safe to say that both sisters have been rather absent from our screens of late. In Afshan Azad's case, the actress has been keeping busy over the past year with wedding planning - and she tied the knot last week.
Afshan, who played Padma in five of the Harry Potter films, married Nabil Kazi in a series of ceremonies which looked absolutely beautiful. But Harry Potter aficionados may be more excited to hear that a mini cast reunion of sorts happened during her big day.
Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, and Katie Leung, who appeared as Cho Chang, were in attendance at Afshan and Nabil's wedding, and the ensuing photographs are too cute for words.
The British actress and model had a traditional Bangladeshi wedding last week, and over the weekend they held a reception for all of their friends and family.
Posting a photo from the affair to Instagram, Afshan wrote:
"Incredibly blessed. After a year of planning on my own, the tears and tantrums, today was an absolute dream. Married and moved out of Manchester to start my new life. Thank you to my incredible family and friends, without you I’m nothing. Best wedding ever, even if I do say so myself! Keep us in your prayers. #KazadWedding #RoyalWedding"
Speaking about the reception, she continued:
"Yesterday was the most epic night. My handsome husband and beautiful in-laws went above and beyond and blew me away with the most magical Walima party. Historically, the first wedding to EVER happen in this venue, it was absolutely breathtaking. My very own Royal Wedding! Thank you to everyone who helped put this night together. Here’s to a lifetime of Happiness with you my love - We did it."
I mean, just look at this wedding...
Some of the most "aww" inducing shots, however, are of Afshan and her former Harry Potter co-stars, Bonnie Wright and Katie Leung.
"Over the moon to have been there with you today Afshan. We love you so much! Congratulations to you and Nabil, wishing you so much joy in your married life together," Wright wrote on Instagram. "Celebrating our beautiful bride @afshanazad‘s special day," Leung added on her personal account.
Well, if that hasn't brightened up your afternoon, I don't know what will...
Congratulations to the happy couple!
