When it comes to Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, he's normally in the news for a few select things. His antics on reality TV show Jersey Shore and his volatile relationship with his girlfriend Jen Harley both come to mind.

However, last week the 32-year-old caught the public's attention for a different reason entirely, with the incident completely dividing fans online.

It all started when Magro took to Instagram to post a picture of his adorable baby daughter, Ariana Sky Magro. The five-month-old, who was born back on April 3, was all smiles and looked adorable wearing pink and lying on a fluffy cushion.

However, it wasn't her gorgeous smile that caught hundreds of people's attention. Instead, it was her outfit. The youngster had been dressed in a light pink off-the-shoulders top and ripped jeans and her clothing spurred outrage from Instagrammers, who insisted that the outfit was inappropriate, with one user even claiming she looked like "trash".

"The jeans? Is this how you dress a Jersey quido baby??? Terrible.
She is a little girl!!!!! I see her mother has more than bad taste in men," wrote mlgonz1974.

She was joined by @2lovgigi who put "She’s adorable but don’t dress her like this... she’s to pure and beautiful to be dress like trash"and @hollyann_caligirl who insisted she wouldn't let her 14-year-old daughter wear the outfit, let alone a baby.

However, others defended the Jersey Shore star, claiming that the outfit was all in good fun. An Instagrammer going by the name of @drwhoscompanion insisted she saw nothing wrong with the baby's attire, putting: "I see nothing wrong. One of the fun parts of a baby, especially one that is not mobile yet, is dressing them up in ridiculous outfits. I do not believe for a second you would allow your daughter to dress provocatively once she is old enough to do so."

Fellow user @lizzyboo_1030 agreed, writing: "Wth?!? Is wrong with her jeans?!? People be making a big deal outta nothing like stfu!"

Although his daughter's outfit divided the internet this time, it was just a few weeks ago when the reality TV star delighted his followers with another picture of Ariana.

Magro showed his dedication to his little one when he missed the MTV Music Video Awards back in August. While Magro's castmates were all in attendance, he was missing, leaving many wondering about his fate on the MTV reboot, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Soon after though, he took to Twitter to clear up the rumours, insisting that he had simply chosen to spend time with his baby daughter and didn't want to watch her grow up through text messages. "Everyone keeps asking where I’ve been, Why wasn’t I at the #VMA’s or other #JSFV events with my lovely cast mates," he wrote. "I’ve chosen to take some time off to be a father to my beautiful daughter. I’ve got to experience everything in my life thankfully because of #JS & #MyFans. There’s nothing that can replace the feeling of being a father."

Naww! Whether or not you approved of his daughter's outfit, that's got to win him some dad-points, right?
