For just a few weeks, things in the world of Kanye West were quiet and the world was at peace. Now, however, order - and chaos - has been restored.

Cast your mind back to May of this year and Yeezy Season was in full effect. Kanye was back after a few years out in the wilderness and he had a lot to say. Whether it was his bizarre, mind-boggling Twitter rants, in which he told us that he was "nice at ping pong" and a fan of Trump's "Dragon Energy," or his roundly criticized comments on slavery, West set about on a one-man crusade to rattle the entire world and p**s off absolutely everyone that lives in it.

Whether it was all a ploy for his upcoming project or just the ramblings of a confused and misunderstood genius, we will never know. But, one thing is for certain: Kanye West still has a lot to say.

Throughout his career, Kanye has never been short of confidence; he famously gate-crashed Taylor Swift's award speech and the Grammy's and, in the earlier parts of his stardom, publicly declared that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during an emergency broadcast for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. But recent years have seen the ego-centric element of Kanye West expand to such a degree that it's not hard to separate the man from his art.

That said, every now and then, we see elements of the old Kanye that we came to love and adore. The quick wit, the deep-diving lyrics and the brash-but-funny attitude were all facets of Kanye's persona that made him the man he is today and they can often appear to have been eradicated as "Ye" became more-and-more infatuated with himself and his god-like mentality.

However, in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Kanye seemed like he was back on form. The interview, which saw Kanye admit he still watches Pornhub, talk about his dealings with being bi-polar and try to explain his "slavery" comments was engaging and interesting. Then, shortly after the interview, we were gifted with a new Kanye West song.

Was this the moment we'd been waiting for? Were we going to get the Kanye track that goes deep? No.

Kanye dropped "XTCY" and filled it with lyrical gems surrounding his in-laws, the Kardashians. Of course, as we all know, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are a good-looking bunch, and Kanye West seems to agree, rapping:

"You got sick thoughts? I got more of ’em / You got a sister-in-law you would smash? I got four of ’em."

Not done there Kanye continued, saying: "Damn, those is your sisters / You did something unholy to them pictures" and "If she suck seed, that's a success / If a girl cum, that's a f**k fest."

Don't ever let someone tell you that Kanye West isn't a genius. Mind you, I bet the next family dinner is going to be awkward.
