Karlie Kloss is officially a married woman.
Yesterday, on Thursday the 18th October, the model and Joshua Kushner wed in an intimate ceremony held in upstate New York. The upstate area of the city is special to the couple as it is also the place where the American businessman and investor proposed to Kloss back in July.
According to People, there were less than 80 people in attendance. However, the newlyweds are reportedly planning to hold another event to acommodate more of their friends and extended family members next spring.
As of now, there is no word as to whether Kushner's brother, the White House Senior Advisor to President Trump, Jared Kushner, or his wife, Ivanka Trump, attended the nuptials.
"The wedding was intimate and moving. The couple was beaming with happiness," an insider who attended the ceremony told the publication.
Kloss, who has modelled for the likes of Victoria's Secret, Marc Jacobs and Carolina Herrera, confirmed the marriage herself by sharing a gorgeous photo of her and her now-husband to Twitter.
"10.18.2018," she captioned the tweet.
After Kloss and Kushner made their engagement public this past summer, the 26-year-old shared her excitement, taking to Instagram to assert "I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over."
In September, Kloss shared more details about Kushner's proposal. "The proposal was romantic and sweet. We spent the weekend in upstate New York, just the two of us," she told Vogue magazine.
"They’re both overjoyed and happily celebrating," a friend of the couple told People at the time. "Their hearts are full and they’re excited to build their future together."
During the ceremony, Kloss wore a full-length white gown with lace detailing that was designed by Dior by way of Maria Grazia Chiuri. She wore her hair up, with a dramatic flowing veil. Kloss accessorised with small studded earrings, a small necklace, and of course, her cushion-cut diamond engagement ring, which is set in a platinum solitaire setting with a diamond pavé band.
Kloss is not the only celebrity to have worn a Chiuri gown to get married in. Her fellow Victoria's Secret model, Miranda Kerr, wed Evan Spiegel in a design by the brand, as did Italian influencer, Chiara Ferragni.
Earlier this week, the model was pictured at New York City Hall, although she claimed on Instagram that she was on jury duty, it is possible that her and Kushner were there to get their marriage licence.
"*turns jury duty into photo shoot*," she captioned the ensuing snap.
Prior to their engagement, a source close to the couple told People that Kloss converted to Judaism in early June. "She’s never been one to make decisions lightly," the insider claimed. "She spends a lot of time reflecting and learning."
Well, congratulations are certainly in order for the happy couple!
