As Cat Stevens famously quipped, "Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world," and this is certainly true if you're a Kardashian or a Jenner. This family are freaks-of-media-nature, able to suck up every headline, every interview and every article at any given moment.

Never, in the history of humanity, has one family so dominated every aspect of society.

But, for all their popularity and fame, a lot of people hate on the Kardashian/Jenners... and it's easy to see why. Sometimes, just sometimes, these girls reveal a remarkable ability to get their Louboutin-covered foot, slip off the stiletto heel, and ram it firmly into their mouth.

Out of the sisters, it would be easy to suggest that Kendall Jenner is the queen when it comes to this feat (lol). First, there was that Pepsi commercial and now there are her latest comments about the modelling industry.

In an interview with Love Magazine name, Kendall spoke about how, when compared to other women in the industry, she chooses to be 'selective' when it comes to her photo shoots:

"Since the beginning, we've been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do.

"More power to them. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks, but everything else."

For those who have hustled their way up to the top of the industry - and for those who are still trying - this was seen as a bit of a slight aimed at them. Yes, Kendall is selective, but only because she can be. Unlike a lot of people, Kendall is fortunate enough to come from an extremely privileged background, meaning she can pick and choose her jobs.

Understandably, plenty of models took to their Instagram accounts to share their opinion on Kendall remarks:

When reached out to comment by Buzzfeed News, a representative for Kendall Jenner said.

"It’s not what she meant. The quote was taken out of context. Mid-thought she realized the number of shows some models walk a season is closer to 80. The point was that it’s their path and "the more power to them." She admires their hard work and dedication. It’s an accomplishment."

Now, however, Kendall has decided to try and quell the fire herself. Taking to her Twitter account, the model-cum-reality star wrote:

"I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!"

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/KendallJenner/status/1032028664639025152]]

"I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful."

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/KendallJenner/status/1032028714979098624]]

"I’m inspired by so many of these people i have had the good fortune to work alongside! There’s no way i could EVER hate on that i want everyone to win. SLAY ALWAYS."

But, for some people, they weren't buying her apology.
