Khloé Kardashian claps back at a troll who said she's making her baby materialistic
The Kardashian-Jenners life glamorous lives full of luxury, which they constantly broadcast on television and the internet. (What, you don't have a purse closet?) Fans can't turn away from their photos and videos, living vicariously through America's unofficial royal family. And they're growing up in front of our eyes, becoming mothers, giving birth to the next generation of reality TV star-beauty moguls.
But the family has their critics. Recently 'Teen Mom' star Kailyn Lowry threw major shade at Kylie Jenner for 'glamorizing' young motherhood. Since her beauty empire is worth $900 million, it's safe to say Kylie has help raising Stormi, and doesn't have to buy diapers in bulk at Costco. In fact, a recent study by the London School of Economics found that watching Keeping Up With The Kadashians could have a damaging impact on your life. Researchers found viewers are inclined to be more materialistic, and care less about poor people.
Recently Khloé Kardashian posted a cute photo of her four-month old girl, True Thompson. When we were kids, we drove little boy cars, but True's ride is a little more upscale: She's riding in a toy Bentley truck. And of course, her bae, a giant teddy bear rides shotgun. That's just how she rolls. It's a vibe.
"I’m not sure what’s cuter, the cute teddy bear driving the Bentley truck or True’s cheeks and smile," gushed Khloé in the Instagram caption. "Thank you Auntie Kimora and family for the precious gift!"
"Auntie Kimora" is Kimora Lee Simmons, the fashion model and designer who used to be married to Russell Simmons. It's polite to thank someone for a present, but the outrageousness of a toy Bentley drew criticism. One person wrote a snarky comment, "She should of receive a cross or a bible so this child as opposed to embedding materialism in her brain"
However, Khloé responded with the perfect clapback: "We read children’s Bible stories every day and we say prayers every single night but you should not pass judgement either way. She's a baby who received a beautiful sweet gift and I was SOOO excited to put her in it and take a picture! I’m enjoying every single moment I can with my sweet angel! The angel GOD gave me!"
After Khloé proved to be sufficiently religious, one person tried a different method of attack. She commanded the reality star to donate True's clothes to the needy, since after four months, she must have outgrown them! Khloé replied that she does donate clothes, to "multiple shelters and charities all over California." So take that, "glamm_mama"!
But it wasn't all petty sniping. One person complimented Khloé on delivering the "best clapback everrr!" "Some people trive off of negativity," wrote vanital. "True and her cute little Bentley are giving me life!! What a cutie pie!" Khloe replied with three heart-eye emojis.
Well, I don't know if Khloé is "embedding materialism" in True. But I do know I can't afford a Bentley truck. But maybe I can afford a toy Bentley truck. Do they make them in a bigger size?
