Breakups are difficult. Even when you're one of the most famous and most desirable people in the world today, with millions of social media followers liking your every selfie and intently watching every second of your Instagram story.
When you've been through the ordeal that Khloé Kardashian has over the last 12 months or so, I think it's a miracle that the 34-year-old mother has been able to do as much as she has. As you probably already knew, Khloé has reportedly split up with Tristan Thompson, after it emerged earlier this week that Thompson was allegedly two-timing with none other than Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner's best friend.
She was able to forgive him the first time Tristan was caught in the act of dipping his toes in other people's oceans, but this latest infidelity was reportedly a step too far.
Now, Kim Kardashian has unfollowed both Woods and Thompson on social media, Jordyn Woods has apparently moved out of Kylie Jenner's place and is back with her own family, while Tristan Thompson briefly posted "FAKE NEWS" on his own Twitter page, before deleting the tweet soon after.
But what of Khloé Kardashian? She's been pictured out and about town since the news broke, but apart from an emoji-laden comment on an Instagram post that alleged Thompson had been seen canoodling with Woods at a house party, she's remained completely silent on social media.
That is, until now.
In her Instagram story (the Kardashians and Jenners have been sticking to Stories since the scandal broke), Khloé posted her first official response to the entire debacle, consisting of three quotes and one photo which do a lot to explain the mood that she's currently in.
First off, a quote that said: "The worst pain is gettin hurt by a person you explained your pain to. [sic]" The second? "Somebody needs to hear this... that betrayal was your blessing!!!" But it's the third quote that betrays the hurt that Khloé is understandably feeling right now.
"If they ask you about me, tell them: 'She was the only person that loved me with honesty, and I broke her,'" Khloé says in her third quote on her Instagram story, and my heart's honestly breaking for her right now.
And if you were in doubt that Khloé is hurting following the scandal, then the photo she posted will remove all ambiguity.
After what's been a whirlwind couple of days for the KarJenner family, Khloé Kardashian has finally broken her silence on the entire scandal. It may not heal all of the pain right away, and the journey toward healing has only just begun, but Khloé Kardashian has made those all-important first steps.
