You know, it can be difficult to actually keep up with the Kardashians sometimes. It's like the whole damn dynasty has more feuds and scores to settle than the characters in Game of Thrones. Not only that, but it also seems like Kim, the current matriarch, is responsible for instigating a lot of these beefs - stirring the pot for the sake of drama. Just think of all the hatchets she's pointedly refused to bury with other celebrities over the years: Taylor Swift, Chloë Moretz, Pink, and even Bette Midler. But now it seems like Kim has been on the receiving end for a change after a whole lot of drama went down between her and her sister's boyfriend Tristan Thompson on Instagram.
The trouble began back in May, when it emerged that Thompson had cheated on Khloe while she was pregnant. Footage surfaced of the former basketball player kissing a strip club worker named Lani Blair at The Penthouse at The Dream Downtown, New York City.
Kim later addressed the scandal in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, telling Ellen that she thought: "I don’t even know how to describe it besides it’s just so f*cked up! We really were rooting for Khloe and we still are ... She’s so strong and she’s doing the best she can ... One day, True is going to see this and you know, it’s just so messed up."
As a result of this damning interview, which didn't paint Thompson in the best light, Thompson unfollowed Kim on Instagram, and even went so far as to block her. As you can imagine, fans of Kim and Tristan immediately noticed that the two of them wanted nothing to do with each other.
On Wednesday, June 27, the Kardashian sisters were out celebrating Khloe's 34th birthday, and Kim, Kylie, Kendall and Khloe were all seen partying hard alongside Thompson himself. In one of her Instagram stories, Kim could be seen begging Tristan to unblock her on the photo-sharing app, stating: "Alright guys what do you think, it's Khloe's birthday. Do you think I should ask this guy to unblock me? For Khloe's birthday will you please unblock me?" After badgering him a little bit further, Tristan finally caved into Kim's demands. Kim was elated, and cried out: "I'm unblocked guys! There's no going back ... Now the question is, should I follow you again?"
We won't leave you in suspense: yes, Kim did indeed end up following Tristan again. Aren't birthdays great? I'm glad that they were able to make amends for Khloe and baby True's sake, and it seems as though Tristan has recommitted himself to his girlfriend and the mother of his child. It just goes to show that when you're dating Kim Kardashian's sister, you'd better be on your best behaviour, or the consequences can be dire. Watch out Tristan!
