But how much do they earn? Well, it turns out, it's quite a lot.

Erina Budina is a 24-year-old woman who has built a brand around her image and admits that she racks up an eye-watering amount of cash for each post she puts on Instagram. The influencer, who constantly gets compared to Kim Kardashian, has been featured on the BBC Three documentary Young, Welsh and Pretty Minted. On the programme, she goes into detail about how she built her money and what she spends her cash on.

Despite her attitude and wealth, it hasn't all been plain sailing for Budina, who left home at 22 and lived in a car boot. At the time, she only had £100 to her name but knew that, through social media, she could make a lot of money.

Making the most of her good looks, Budina began posting racy photos of herself online and her following quickly started growing. After her fanbase grew to hundreds of thousands, brands started getting in touch with her and asked if she would promote their products. Such is her influence, Budina now charges up to £1000 per post, with her main promotions being of cosmetics and clothing.

After making a respectable amount of cash, the influencer claims to have spent £10,000 to get her bum 'sculpted' and get rid of the fat on her sides. Not done with making the money that she is, Erina hopes to be even more loaded by the time she hits 30.

"If I hit 30 and I am not worth £10million, nah, I am upset," she told the BBC Three programme.

"I see myself living in a huge big house in London. I feel like I'll be married to some sexy, like, rapper or a basketball player.

"I think I'll have loads of kids. I want, like, a big family, 'cos I've got a big family, and I want five kids.

"I see myself driving a pink Lamborghini, iced-out Rolex, covered in jewellery, designer bags... A yacht, hopefully, a yacht."

Despite making a fortune from her looks, the young woman admits to still feeling slightly insecure and is constantly striving to look perfect.

"I do feel the pressure. Some days, no matter, it's not enough," she said.

"You'll do your hair the same, your makeup the same, but you'll just be like, 'Oh my god, I'm so ugly'.

"At least three times a week I think I'm absolutely hanging, but then the rest of the time I think I'm stunning."

While she may not be everyone's cup of tea, Erin deserves some form of credit for finding a way to make a serious amount of cash at a young age - even if she does make plenty of people roll their eyes.
