Kim Kardashian reveals that she had a sixth sense about her terrifying Paris robbery
Over the years, Kim Kardashian has been known for many things: her butt, her relationship with Kanye West, and, of course, that tape.
One thing she's probably not renowned for, however, is her psychic abilities. But, according to the woman herself, she had a sixth sense about what was going to happen to her in Paris last year.
In a recent interview, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians icon opened up about the traumatic ordeal, in which a gang of men broke into her home while she was sleeping. The reality star was held at gunpoint by two of them, and had duct tape put on her face before being tied up and locked in her bathroom. Kim reported that she begged for her captors to show mercy, and said "Please I have a family. Let me live".
More than $12million worth of jewellery was taken during the attack, including a $6.75million jewellery box and Kim's $4.7million engagement ring. The star was physically unharmed during the ordeal, but understandably suffered a great deal of emotional and mental trauma.
The robbery, which took place in Kim's luxury apartment at 2.30am on October 3, 2016, was widely reported at the time, as was the aftermath which followed. After a three-month hiatus from social media and making appearances in public, Kim eventually spoke about what happened with her family on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“They ask for money. I said I don’t have any money,” she recounted to her family during the show. “They dragged me out on to the hallway on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun clear, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs.”
“I was like; ‘I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision. Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back?' It makes me so upset to think about it. Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I’m f*****d. There’s no way out.”
In a recent interview, though, Kim revealed that she had somewhat of a premonition about what would happen. Speaking to Allure, she said she was terrified to go on the trip, and feared that she would be caught up in a terrorist attack. Her anxiety was so bad, in fact, that she sought help from a therapist before making the trip.
North, Kim's 4-year-old daughter, also sensed her worries, and gave her a gift to calm her nerves.
“She gave me a little plastic treasure box," Kim said in the interview, "and she put her little jewels in it — like fake little plastic jewels — and she was like, ‘Mommy, this will keep you safe when you go to Paris.’ ”
She went on to say that, "To have something really sweet like that is more important to me than all the jewellery".
10 people were since charged with offences relating to the attack, but the stolen items were never recovered.
