Kim Kardashian sent something hilariously petty to her ex-publicist

Kim Kardashian may not be famed for having a particular way with words, but you have to admit that she knows how to make a memorable speech. Take the time she won a Webby award for "breaking the internet" back in 2016, for example. Rather than prattling on about how she'd like to thank her mom, and her sister, and her other sister, and her other other sisters etc., she uttered the iconic five-word phrase: "Nude selfies till I die."

And now, the queen of sass has returned to make yet another excellent speech. However, this time, she used the opportunity to take a dig at her former publicist.

The 37-year-old was called up on stage at CFDA Fashion Awards (often referred to as the Oscars of fashion) in order to collect the "influencer" prize. She began her acceptance speech with a joke, saying: "I am kind of shocked that I am winning a fashion award when I am naked most of the time. But this is seriously such an honor, so thank you to the CFDA for this award."

She then went on to tell a story about how it had always been her dream to become a fashion icon - but not everyone believed she could do it. In fact, her former publicist once told her that, realistically, she'd never make it onto a magazine cover.

"It was maybe seven years ago when I had a publicist and she asked, what where my goals, what were my dreams, and I said I just want to be on the cover of a fashion magazine and she said to me, 'Let’s get some realistic goals, because that will never happen," the KUWTK star explained.

So, how did she respond? With pure, unadulterated pettiness, of course:

"So, of course, I sent her my Vogue cover when it came out— an autographed copy," Kardashian said, before finishing up by adding: "So it’s really a trip to me that I’m here getting an award for fashion when it’s something I’ve always loved."

In an interview on Facebook Live, the reality queen said that she was "so humbled" and "excited" to be the first-ever recipient of the Influencer award. She also made special mention of her husband, Kanye West, whom she credits as being an important influence on her style.

"I’m super inspired by my husband fashion-wise," she said. "He really helps me with all my looks and my makeover if you want to call it that. He is my best stylist."

What's more, in an interview she gave last month, Kim spoke about how she could see her own fashion influence in action.

"You can really tell someone’s influence when they wear a makeup look or clothes, and they start trends and inspire people," she said. “Since everything is so digital and on social media these days, many people can become amazing influencers. To get the Influencer Award is such an honor because it speaks to everyday people that you can influence and inspire."

In total, Kim has now appeared on the cover of different editions of Vogue seven times - and part of us hopes that she's sent all seven editions of the magazine (along with every other fashion publication she's been featured on) to her ex-publicist.

After all, if anyone is going to take pettiness to the extreme, it'll be Kim Kardashian.
