Kylie Jenner turned 21 over the weekend, meaning that the last thing you could one-up on her has gone. Just last week, you could mock the soon-to-be billionaire for not being able to drink alcohol. Yes, she may have been worth an eye-watering amount of money and, yes, she might have everything she could ever want, but you could drink a pint, couldn't you? So who was the real winner there?
Sadly, however, these bragging rights have gone. Now, at the grand old a
ge of 21, Kylie Jenner can drink all the Budweiser and Coors Light that she wants.
Cast your mind back to your 21st birthday. I remember mine. I played crazy golf then went to a nightclub. It was one of those establishments where your feet stick to the floor and the carpet is trodden with blue lagoon cocktails and vomit. The floor was like a Rubix cube of lights, flashing at random while "Like A Prayer" buzzed through the speakers and Bachelorette and Bachelor parties came together in a unison of grinding body parts and exchanging saliva. For everyone in there, it was euphoria.
However, as I'm sure you can imagine, Kylie Jenner's birthday party was quite a bit different to mine. Yes, she had the classic traffic light colour coding going on, but the whole thing probably cost a lot more than my annual salary.
Like every awful university club night you've been to in your life, Kylie Jenner had coloured plastic cups to convey what your relationship status was. If you had a pink cup, you were taken. If you had yellow, you were "single AF," and, if like Khloe Kardashian, you had a green cup, well... "it's complicated." But, while that may have been the only part of this party that was relatable, I doubt it ended up in the horror stories that most of us would associate with this game.
One thing that certainly wasn't relatable when it came to Kylie Jenner's birthday, was the present that she received from her boyfriend and baby daddy, Travis Scott. Scott, who is riding a wave of popularity after the release of his long-awaited album, Astroworld, decided to get his beau a gift that we could only dream of: a vintage Rolls Royce.
Not done with just buying her an extremely expensive car, Scott also decided to cover the front of Kylie's house with red roses. Taking to her Instagram account, the young mother videoed the surprise for all of her followers to see, as did Scott, who showed a surprised Kylie holding their baby daughter while marvelling at her present.
As for the rest of the night, well, Kylie's party was a pretty star-studded affair, with all her sisters, their partners and other celebrities being in attendance. Unsurprisingly, in most of the videos, Scott's new album can be heard playing in the background - he probably needs that streaming money after dropping the cash on that car.
