Madonna debuts a very different look during New Year's performance
It's no secret that the Queen of Pop looks impossibly youthful, despite her insistence that she hasn't gone under the knife. Experts have speculated that the 60-year-old has had botox, a facelift, cheek fillers, blepharoplasty (an eyelift), a nose job (possibly two), lip fillers, and laser resurfacing facials to name but a few surgeries - but the songstress has always denied such allegations.
However, now even Madonna's biggest fans are convinced that she's had a butt lift - potentially joining celebs like Kim Kardashian who've all jumped on the "I like big butts and I can't lie" bandwagon - after footage of her singing with her 13-year-old son David Banda emerged online.
All eyes were not on their impromptu performance of 'Like A Prayer' and 'Can't Help Falling In Love', but the star's noticeably different behind...
To see the footage for yourself, check out the video below:
The performance took place at the at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, Manhattan on New Year's Ever, and while it's clear that something has happened to the Queen of Pop's butt, some fans have pointed out that it could be the result of non-surgical butt pads.
In response to the rumors that she's had extensive cosmetic procedures, Madonna said: "I am what I am. And I don't like the idea of someone putting you to sleep then taking knives to you."
While she does acknowledge herself that she looks considerably younger than the average 60-year-old, she claims that she's kept her vitality naturally, crediting her strict macrobiotic diet and high-quality cosmetic products.
Reacting to the clip above, one Twitter user wrote: "Guys please can we talk about Aunty Madonna? Her bum. I'm confused?"
Another wondered: "Did Madonna really get her bum done or is she just trolling?"
While it's obviously entirely up to Madonna what she does with her body, some fans expressed "disappointment" at the possibility that she'd artificially enhanced her derriere.
Others, however, were entirely in favor of their queen, regardless of whether her butt was the result of pads or implants, and one remarked: "Madonna out here with the butt boost is a perfect start to 2019."
It's also worth noting that spending a considerable amount of time in the gym can allow people to naturally increase the size of their butt, and the Queen of Pop has spoken extensively about her intense fitness regime. In fact, her personal trainer said of Madonna's workouts: "Pro athletes train all day. Madonna trains all day. She trains for five hours a day, non-stop."
Another trainer, Nicole Winhoffer, who has also worked with the 60-year-old, said:
"Madonna stands as an icon. Her body, work ethic, and persistence is an inspiration to the people.
"She is the most incredible woman in the world. Her dedication, persistence, intelligence and work ethic are bar none. I couldn't ask for a better workout partner."
This is not the first time that fans have speculated that Madonna's had a butt lift, either. It also happened in 2016 when she competed in a "twerk off" with Ariana Grande.
So, what do you think? Has the Queen of Pop simply had some impressive gains in the gym? Is she a fan of butt pads? Or has she, despite her self-confessed dislike of plastic surgery, decided to go under the knife?
