Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's wedding cake wasn't what we were expecting
Hey guys, I don't know if you heard, but Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got married over the Christmas period! While most of us were getting cosy with our loved ones in front of a fire, Cyrus and Hemsworth were cosying up in front of an ordained minister, as the pair finally tied the knot.
Miley Cyrus has come a long way from her Hannah Montana days, and I think that the less said about 2014-era Miley Cyrus, the better. Can you believe she's 26 now?! I don't know about you guys, but it makes me feel really old to see her married now. Especially once you see the photos.
How sweet. Oh! Speaking of sweet, this is Food Envy, and if we're going to talk about weddings, I think it's very important - vital, even - that we talk about the one thing that matters more than anything else at a wedding: what kind of food was eaten at the festivities. Specifically, the wedding cake.
Unfortunately, Miley Cyrus was too busy being married to the love of her life to take any photos of the food involved at her secret little intimate gig, but luckily, we've managed to spot the wedding cake, and I think that once you see it, it's quite something.
Miley Cyrus might not have taken a picture of it, but fortunately for us, Billy Ray Cyrus was on hand to take a fortuitous snap which gives us a little bit of an insight into the food being served at this surprise wedding. The ceremony, hosted in the couple's Tennessee mansion, was low key and a little bit rustic, and as you can see, the cake sort of followed suit.
With two tiers of delicious white icing on display, it's not exactly the wedding cake we saw at Prince Harry and Meghan's official coupling back in May of this year, but this wasn't exactly that kind of occasion. "Wedding wouldn't be complete without one shot from Dads out dated blackberry camera," says Billy Ray Cyrus of the photo, but I think it's got a certain rustic quality, don't you?
What's more, with Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth both leaders of the healthy lifestyle, it's very likely that the cake you see before you is also completely vegan. With both of the newly-married couples being committed vegans as well as animal lovers, there's no way there were many animal products involved here.
So well-known are Cyrus and Hemsworth in the animal rights community, that none other than PETA sent them matching bathrobes for their wedding. Embroidered with "Mr Vegan" and "Mrs Vegan" (for Liam and Miley, respectively, I'm assuming), people from all walks of life are super happy to finally see this pair take the plunge.
Well, congratulations Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth! They were talking about it for a while, but I'm glad that these two are finally tying the knot.
