Guys, if you're not caught up on the latest celebrity drama, allow me to give you a quick rundown on the whole Nicki Minaj/Cardi B feud.

A long, long time ago (sometime in 2017), Nicki Minaj and Cardi B decided they didn't like each other. It's never been totally clarified why the two first had beef, but it's probably simply because they're both female rappers - and any decent rapper needs to have at least one rival.

Anyway, since then, the two have dissed one another on various tracks, called each other out on social media, and, just a few weeks ago, the row nearly peaked in a physical fist fight when Cardi lunged at Minaj during an event at New York Fashion Week.

But it seems that might just be the start of it.

Since the (almost) fight, Cardi managed to top the US charts after featuring on the Maroon 5 track, Girls Like You, making her the first ever female rapper to make three number one singles. Not one to miss an opportunity to brag, Cardi took to Instagram to talk about her achievement, and used it as proof that she was nowhere near "over", as Minaj's fans had suggested.

Meanwhile, Minaj had been dealing her own shade on her Queen radio show. Speaking of her rival, she said:

"Get this woman some f***ing help. This woman is at the best stage of her career and she’s throwing bottles?... Who the f**k is gonna give her an intervention? You n****s don’t care until somebody’s f***ing dead.... This shit ain’t f***ing funny. You put your hands on certain people, you gonna die. Period."

Then, things took a bit more of a subtle turn recently when Minaj asked her fans who they thought should be the "c***sucker of the day" on her show (yes, apparently that's a legit thing), and everyone responded saying "Jason Lee".

Wait, what? Who's Jason Lee?

Well, to put it briefly, Jason Lee is this guy:

In a recent episode of his Hollywood Unlocked show, Lee spoke out about the brawl between Cardi and Minaj, and basically backed Cardi up on the whole thing. While he did admit that he knew Cardi had planned to take a swing at her rival long before the actual event, he also claimed that Minaj has tried to sabotage Cardi's career by threatening not to work with certain artists if they ever collaborate with the Bodak Yellow rapper.

However, judging by his social media history, it does seem that Lee and Cardi are fairly close (though the self-described networker has met with Minaj on previous occasions, too), so this could just be a case of him covering for his friend.

Sooooo, where does this leave us, exactly?

Cardi is still mad at Minaj for supposedly stealing her opportunities for collaborations, and for allegedly saying negative things about her abilities as a mother; meanwhile Minaj is still mad at Cardi for taking a swing at her, for spreading negative things about her on the internet, and - basically - for being a more successful rapper. Yeah, I went there.

It's very clear, then, that the beef between these two is far from over, and we should all keep our eyes peeled for more social media drama very soon.
