People are heartbroken after finding out that Rami Malek has a girlfriend
Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day we come together to acknowledge an incredibly sad truth: Rami Malek, star of Bohemian Rhapsody, has a girlfriend. And it's not you. Or me. Gasp!
I know exactly how you feel. I, like you, saw the film, fell head-over-heels in love with him, and have never looked back since. Needless to say, this puts a bit of a roadblock in our budding romance (not that we've ever met).
One thing that does make this news slightly less depressing (or more, depending on how you look at it) is the fact that Rami and his girlfriend, Lucy, are pretty adorable together. Discover all about their relationship (and then cry into your pillow) here.
Meet Lucy Boynton, an American-born English actress, who made her film debut with a leading role in Miss Potter in 2006. She went onto star in Copperhead, Sing Street, Murder on the Orient Express and Apostle
And, of course, if you haven't clocked it already, she was Mary Austin in Bohemian Rhapsody
Rumours that the pair were dating started soon after she and Rami met on the set of the movie in 2017
In April 2018, a source told US Weekly: "They met while filming Bohemian Rhapsody in London. He is so into her. He goes and visits her in London all the time"
The two have been fairly obvious about their relationship, but it wasn't officially confirmed to fans until Rami took to the stage to accept the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Film Awards Gala in Palm Springs, California on January 3
His speech included a shout out to Lucy that made millions of girls' hearts sink: "Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. I appreciate you so much".
Pretty cute, right?
Not to mention, they were complete #couplegoals at the Golden Globes on Sunday night
And pretty much every other time they're seen together
So, to sum up: Lucy Boyton is dating Rami Malek. And you are not
Sucks, doesn't it?
