In the old days, solid work experience and top qualifications were the things that got you into employment.

Nowadays though? A retweet from Kim Kardashian will do the job. According to a recent graduate anyway...

On his CV, a university graduate named Chris Sumlin recently bullet-pointed that one of his tweets had been reposted by Kim, stating: "Retweeted by Kim Kardashian West for impressive work in graduate school".

Afterwards, the former Boston University student took to social media to claim that he'd received three job interview offers in just one week, as a result of this.

"Y’all I added that @KimKardashian retweeted my graduate school paper on my resume and I’ve already booked THREE job interviews in less than a week," he wrote. "This woman’s influence is helping me secure a bag."

His post soon went viral on Twitter, with over 3,000 retweets from people around the world.

Many were impressed that the 38-year-old star had helped him out, with dozens of people online heralding Kim's massive influence. Others begged the mother-of-three for a repost, obviously certain that some help from Kim would work wonders in their job searches.

"@KimKardashian can you retweet one of my tweets too. I’m tryna see somethin," posted a Twitter user with the name of @akeyladyson.

However, other people online made sure to point out that Chris' CV was pretty spectacular on its own.

They certainly weren't wrong, with his experience in the entertainment industry including working as a production intern on the BET Awards and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The BU student has also written two books, which are available on Amazon, and runs an impressive blog.

A Twitter user going by the name of @TrizzeTrell made it clear that he believed it couldn't all be down to Kim K, putting: "Chris Sumlin already has an outstanding resume. The co-sign from Kim Kardashian is only a bonus plug. It’s dope seeing individuals who you know were approaching greatness. Much success Mr. Sumlin. A Morehouse graduate."

Another social media user called @MeganTorok agreed, stating: "I would bet my life on the fact that those 3 interviews came from the hard work by you that is so clearly displayed on that resume! Good luck on those interviews! I have a feeling you will get multiple offers!"

Unsurprisingly, the story eventually made its way back to Kim herself  - and the reality TV star thrilled Chris by retweeting him once again, writing: "Good luck! I hope you get the jobs!"

The college graduate was so thrilled at the new retweet that he decided to update his résumé to reflect the new development. His CV now proudly reads: "Wished luck on job search by Kim Kardashian West on Twitter gaining over 17,000 reactions to the tweet".

And so, that concludes the most 2018 story ever. Not to hop on the bandwagon, but I'm off to fashion a post that might get me retweeted by Kim.
