People are furious about what Kim Kardashian makes her kids for dinner
It's not easy being a parent. But instead of forming networks to support each other, some parents love judging their peers on even the smallest of faux-pas. Whether it's calling out mothers for how they choose to discipline their kids, or making someone feel guilty for what time they put their child to bed, there are plenty of people armed and ready to critique your parenting skills. And certainly, even the top one per cent aren't spared in this regard.
Arguably one of the most famous women in the world, Kim Kardashian, has recently come under fire for her parenting. The reality television star and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed their third child, Chicago West, via surrogate on January the 15th. The couple broke the news on Kim's website, announcing that they were "over the moon" with their new addition. "She’s here! We’re so in love," wrote the 37-year-old. "Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl".
But instead of giving the couple a chance to enjoy their newborn, the people of the internet are roasting Kim for what she feeds her children.
Kim Kardashian has been ridiculed on social media for one of her latest Instagram posts, where she is seen serving her children (well, the ones who are old enough to stomach solid food) the bizarre delicacy that is hotdog sushi.
Sure, everyone likes hotdogs, and most people enjoy sushi, but putting the two together does sound a little questionable. "When your kids LOVE sushi & hotdogs you get creative #HotDogSushi," Kim captioned her Instagram story.
And of course the people of the internet had a lot to say about it. One Twitter user wrote, "How about if they LOVE sushi and hotdogs... GIVE THEM ONE OR THE OTHER??," while another corroborated, "Kim Kardashian’s hotdog sushi is going to give me night terrors".
"If I had a personal chef and they made my kids hotdogs rolled as sushi the whole staff getting fired," someone else added.
Some people, however, thought Kim's idea was rather ingenious. "Oh the drama, a flipping hotdog wrapped in rice! Get a grip," one individual wrote, while others pointed out that hotdog sushi is actually already a thing, at least in Korea and Hawaii.
"Ok so to the people I'm seeing here trashing @KimKardashian for her hotdog sushi: Korea and Hawaii say hi. Maybe try some food outside your neighborhood next time guys??" one Twitter user stated.
Sure, it's a little unconventional, but I say good on Kim for finding a creative way to feed her children. As any parent will know, kids are fickle, and not exactly well behaved when it comes to supper-time, so finding anything that works is an achievement.
In other Kardashian related news, Piers Morgan has slammed Kim Kardashian for topless photos, and says that she's "setting feminism back years".
