They're currently Hollywood's hottest couple... and they're not even a couple. However, following their emotionally-charged performance at last night's Academy Awards ceremony, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were in fact in a relationship.

After taking to the stage to perform the now Oscar-winning song 'Shallow' from their critically-acclaimed movie A Star Is Born, Twitter absolutely blew up. And it had nothing to do with the fact Bradley Cooper's vocals were incredible or that Lady Gaga looked sensational - no. People were talking about Lady Gaga's very telling "look of love" at the very end of their duet.

Check out the performance below and just try to not get hot under the collar:

Seriously, it was like when Nala laid on her back and leered into Simba's eyes in The Lion King.

Many fans praised their "beautiful" rendition, especially considering it was Gaga's first public appearance since splitting from ex-fiancé Christian Carino just last week.

However, after becoming so engrossed in such a steamy performance, viewers quickly remembered that Bradley's long-term girlfriend and mother of his child was literally sat right there watching the entire thing.

Cooper has been in a relationship with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk since 2015, and viewers couldn't help but feel that Lady Gaga had "crossed the line" when she leaned into Cooper and made some very telling eye-contact:

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan also stated how Lady Gaga had "crossed the line", as Spice Girl Mel B claimed the 'Born This Way' singer broke "girl code":

“There’s a woman’s code,” Mel B said. “Hopefully it’s only professional.”

Piers Morgan's comments came just a few hours after he questioned their friendship, tweeting: “Are we 100% certain these two are just good friends... ?”

During her acceptance speech, Gaga thanked co-star Cooper, saying: "There's not a single person on the planet that could have sang this song with me but you."

There's no denying the amazing chemistry between Gaga and Cooper, and it is certainly interesting to see if we're going to see them on-screen together in the near future.
