Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande might seem like an unlikely couple. He's a stand-up comedian and cast member of Saturday Night Live. She's a pop singer who used to star in Nickelodeon sitcoms. But the tw0 24-year-olds really hit it off. After less than a month of dating, rumors spread that they were engaged.

On social media, the couple expressed their love for each other. Ariana invited Pete to 'slytherin' her 'chamber of secrets' (noice), and Pete shared photos of his cool new tattoos: A bunny-eared Ariana silhouette on his neck, and her swirly initials on his thumb. Then Pete shared a photo of his engagement ring, writing, "u know what you’d dream it be like ? it’s better than that."

That post made the couple's engagement 'Instagram official'. Now it's real life official. Last night Pete Davidson appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In the interview, the New York comic reflected on how lucky he was to date Ariana Grande.

"I feel like I won a contest. It’s so sick. It’s f–king lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit. It’s so funny when you’re walking down the street, dudes are walking by and... [tips hat]. Some guy came up to me and said, ‘yo man, you like gave me hope.’ I didn’t know I was that ugly."

Comedy nerds know who Pete Davidson is from his work on SNL. He plays that guy that waves goodbye during the closing credits. Just kidding. He often appears as himself on Weekend Update. Last season he was in the music video Tucci Gang, a parody of Lil Pump's Gucci Gang, which went viral. He also has a recurring character, Chad, an apathetic teenager with limited conversation skills. ("Okay.") But lets' face it - Ariana's way more popular.

"I’m a lucky motherf---er," confessed Pete. "I'm forever known as her plus-one."

Previously Pete was dating Cazzie David, the daughter of Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld and star of Curb Your Enthusiasm. However, dating Ariana Grande brings a whole new level of attention. In fact, some idiot wrote a whole article about their engagement becoming Instagram official. What a loser!

"Why do people care," Pete reflected. "It’s very weird. It’s weird because the president is trying to pardon himself and he’s like f---ed a porn star. Shouldn’t we care about that?" (Well, we do care about that, we just don't want to picture it. And there's enough news stories about Trump!)

Reportedly, Pete gave Ariana a $93,000 engagement ring, and they just moved in together.  According to TMZ, the couple are living in a $16 million dollar New York City apartment. The luxury complex has 5 beds, 4.5 bathrooms, and an amazing view of the Empire State Building.

As you can tell, Pete is living his best life. If you see him on the street, tip your hat, and tell him, "You gave me hope."
