When you're feeling a little beaten down from the daily grind of life, there's truly no better way to relax than to head home, lie on the couch and let your parents cook for you. It turns out no one is immune to this de-stress technique, not even A-lister celebrity Rihanna.

The 30-year-old singer recently travelled home to Barbados for a little R & R - after spending time working on a mystery project in Cuba with Donald Glover - sharing pictures of her trip with her followers on Instagram. Fans were thrilled to be given into window RiRi's homelife - something we all rarely get to see - and there was one thing that excited them even further: the fact that the Love on the Brain songstress appeared to be going make-up free.

Posing barefaced with her father Ronald Fenty and mother Monica Braithwaite, Rihanna seemed to be utterly chilled as she enjoyed some much-needed family time, captioning the image "home". Another shot saw her dad Ronald wrapped his arm around her as they smiled for the camera together looking wholly content.

Of course, fans adored the pictures and heralded the singer for forgoing her usual glamorous Instagram shots in favour of family ones. "Nice!!! Enjoy every moment. Life is all about family at the end of the day no matter what. So beautiful" wrote Instagrammer @hotkeshashuler. They were joined by fellow social media user @keet86 who commented saying "@badgalriri wealth is measured by who you have beside you at the beginning #familyislife" and @v.adyy who added: "She looks so cute without makeup like my heart cant take it".

Just weeks before heading home, Rihanna appeared on the cover of British Vogue, speaking out in her interview about body image. When asked about what it's like being the woman that everyone has a crush on, the Rude Boy star brushed it off and said: "Ok, you’re asking the wrong person. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m 'thicc' now. I don't know."She went on to say that she was about to hit the gym to start toning up again but admitted she was concerned she might lose some of her "thicc" assets once she starts slimming down. "I'm about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don't lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs," she said. "I'll lose some but not all. And I think of my boobs, like, 'Imma lose everything, everything goes!' But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut.''

The Vogue interview followed comments the singer made roughly a year ago when she discussed learning to dress her "fluctuating body type" with The Cut. "I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what’s working for my body that morning. I feel like that’s how everyone should go after fashion, because it’s an individual thing," she told them. "And then, if you take it further, it’s like, ‘What week are you having?’ You having a skinny week? You having a fat week? Are we doing arms this week? We doing legs this week? We doing oversized?"

It's great to see a star post such natural pictures, as well as hear them speak out honestly about the things that every woman goes through - keep it up, RiRi!
