Avengers star Scarlett Johansson has had plenty to get excited about recently, most notably with last month's release of Endgame, the latest record-breaking blockbuster from Marvel. But it turns out that the 34-year-old actress has another very exciting date on the horizon.

Yes, congratulations are most definitely in order for Johansson and 36-year-old comedian Colin Jost as the pair have officially announced their engagement.

Remember when Johansson was called out for wearing a Marchesa gown at the Met Gala because the fashion line was founded by Harvey Weinstein's wife?

The news was confirmed on Sunday by the actress' publicist Marcel Pariseau. It is believed that the couple began dating 2017 which is when they were reportedly spotted making out at an SNL after-party.

And, of course, they were seen together recently at last month's premiere of Avengers: Endgame.

Jost and ScarJo had actually made their red carpet debut last year at the Avengers: Infinity War premiere, confirming reports of a fledgeling romance.

This won't be Johansson's first marriage though - she had previously wedded Ryan Reynolds in 2008 before getting divorced two years later.

She also married French journalist and art consultant Romain Dauriac in 2014. They separated in the summer of 2016 and share a four-year-old daughter named Rose Dorothy.

Jost, who co-hosts Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update sketch with Michael Che, will be marrying for the first time.

It is believed that the Black Widow actress met her now-fiancé on the set of SNL all the way back in 2006.

"The first time she hosted was the first year I was a writer on the show." Jost told Entertainment Tonight about their first meeting. "So, we've kind of known each other since then... she's the best."

A number of fans have since taken to Twitter to congratulate the pair on their upcoming nuptials - some including the very fitting hashtag #JostMarried.

Several details about the wedding - such as the date and the location - are still unknown. In any case, we wish the happy couple nothing but the best for their upcoming nuptials.
