In picture-perfect fairytale fashion, the dashing Prince Harry married American actress Meghan Markle at a lavish ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Now the cute couple has moved into Kensington Palace together, and things are looking rosy; especially now that we know there's a baby on the way.

But if you thought that that was the end of our wedding hysteria, then I'm afraid you'd be sorely mistaken. There's a new celebrity couple's marriage that we've all been excited about: the wedding of Priyanka Chopra to Nick Jonas. The Indian actress, singer and film producer married the Jonas brother at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur in traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

The couple was even gracious enough to share their wedding photos on social media, and Nick Jonas was so touched by the sight of his beautiful bride that he was actually moved to tears; as this emotional footage shows. The video was taken by People magazine, and shows Priyanka's 75-foot wedding veil as she enters the ceremony. She can be seen wearing a dazzling Ralph Lauren dress, accompanied by six veil walkers. Nick had a bit of trouble keeping his cool upon seeing her, and had no choice but to wipe away a tear.

The trouble began after The Cut published an article written by Mariah Smith, alleging that the couple's wedding had been faked for the sake of promoting brand endorsements, and furthermore that Chopra was a "scam-artist" who had coerced Nick Jonas into marrying her. The article also used the couple's relatively short engagement as 'proof' that Chopra was conniving, taking advantage of a clueless American man. Many were critical of the article's tone-deaf content, and the piece has since been deleted.

However, it is true that the couple have engaged in what looks like a lot of brand endorsement, although both have denied that they were paid to promote products via social media. It's also true that they both hold a lot of sway on social media, with Chopra and Jonas boasting 32 million and 16.5 million followers respectively.

However, the idea that Chopra is taking advantage of Jonas due to his fame and success is absurd when examined with any scrutiny. For one thing, Chopra is far more famous than Nick Jonas in India - where Bollywood dwarfs Hollywood by sheer size. She's been acting for nearly 20-years, which makes her career that is almost as old Jonas himself, and net worth is actually more than his. It's a shame that people have been suspicious of their happiness, but I'm sure that Priyanka and Nick will prove their detractors wrong by having a very happy marriage together.
