Kim Kardashian is known for a lot of things, but it's her infamous derriere that is one of her most well-known features. The Kardashian butt - something which is shared across the majority of the family - is one the most recognisable on the planet. And, for this reason, plenty of people are obsessed with trying to replicate the look.

Whether it's doing squats or getting cosmetic surgery, there is a multitude of ways that people can shape their bum in order to make it perkier and bigger. However, one woman from Sao Paolo has taken the cosmetic route to the extreme.

Jennifer Pamplona, from Sao Paolo, Brazil, has spent more than $470,000 on plastic surgery and has had over four pints of fat injected into her butt. According to the New York Post, Jennifer is aspiring to have a bigger bum than Kim.

"My doctors have asked me if I am scared to die from the surgeries, but, in my opinion, if it happens I will die happy and beautiful," the 24-year-old said of her surgery. It's reported that eight doctors declined to do the surgery because it was so risky. Jennifer has also had two boob jobs, liposuction, a nose job, and four ribs removed in the past seven years.

“Before, whenever I looked in the mirror all I could think was that I needed a bigger butt,” she says. “Now I’m so much happier. Having surgery has changed my life.”

Since undergoing surgery, Jennifer has modelled for Versace, created her own cosmetics business and has appeared on reality TV shows such as Plastics of Hollywood. Despite this, she claims that not everyone is into her extreme appearance. Her mom, for example, wouldn't talk to her in the weeks after her surgery.

"People say I’m stupid, but I have achieved a lot,” she says. “I came from a poor Brazilian village . . . [now I’m] famous and [have] created a company.”

Ryan Gobble, assistant professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a UC Health plastic and reconstructive surgeon, says that there are two different ways of having a butt augmentation - implants or fat injections.

With the Brazilian butt lift, fat is removed from your back, abdomen, hips, and thighs and injected into your bum. The fat integrates into the butt and hips and becomes living cells again, says Matthew Schulman, M.D.. Schulman is a board-certified plastic surgeon practising in New York City, and one of the most experienced plastic surgeons who performs Brazilian butt lifts.

Gobble says that there are complications with every procedure and fat injections can lead to reactions to anaesthesia, and lumps and bumps. Some people have even died after having a Brazilian butt lift, but “those were mostly done by non-certified plastic surgeons, which is why it’s important to make sure you go to a board-certified plastic surgeon,” Gobble says.

While it's Jennifer's body and she can do what she wants with it, you can't help but think that if doctors are telling her not to go ahead with this procedure, maybe she should listen.
