It would be fair to say that NBA players aren't helping themselves when it comes to their personal lives right now. First, you had Tristan Thompson - the Cleveland Cavaliers player - who was caught cheating on his then-pregnant girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian. Now, however, we've got Ben Simmons and Tinashe.

According to various reports, Simmons - who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers - dumped his R&B singer girlfriend in order to hook up with Kendall Jenner the supermodel and reality TV star.

Jenner, for her part, has always kept her private life, well... private. The 22-year-old model and star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has previously linked with ASAP Rocky and has also been subject to bizarre rumours that she might be gay.

In a recent interview with the magazine Vogue, Kendall addressed the rumours of her sexuality, saying that she doesn't have a "gay bone in her body."

"I think it’s because I’m not like all my other sisters, who are like, ‘Here’s me and my boyfriend!’ So it was a thing for a minute because no one ever saw me with a guy. I would always go that extra mile to be low-key with guys, sneaking around all the time. You don’t want to, like, look crazy."

Despite saying that she's definitely not gay, Kendall didn't completely shut down the idea of experimenting in the future.

"I don’t think I have a bisexual or gay bone in my body, but I don’t know! Who knows?! I’m all down for experience — not against it whatsoever — but I’ve never been there before."

"Also, I know I have kind of a . . . male energy? But I don’t want to say that wrong, because I’m not transgender or anything. But I have a tough energy. I move differently. But to answer your question: I’m not gay. I have literally nothing to hide. I would never hide something like that."

However, if rumours are to be believed, Kendall is hiding her current relationship. She and Simmons were spotted getting close in Manhattan with a group of friends at the Bowery restaurant.

"Security measures seemed to have been taken to ensure Kendall and Ben enjoyed their night hassle-free," said a witness. "They were smiling the night away with their friends."

Simmons had been dating Tinashe, 25, but left her to be with Jenner. When asked what she was looking for in a potential partner, Tinashe kept it simple, saying: "Not to be an idiot."

The singer also confirmed that she is no longer dating basketball players: "Oh yeah," she said of her ballplayer ban. "That’s 100."

The singer noted that her dating life is currently "excellent," but wouldn't add any further comment on the issue.  However, she was spotted sharing a VIP table with Blake Griffin - another NBA player - who had been previously linked with Kendall Jenner until they split.

The celebrity dating world is a very incestuous place, isn't it?
