From Keanu Reeves bringing his mom as his date to Eminem shocking the world to perform 'Lose Yourself' 17 years after winning the Oscar for 'Best Original Song', last night's 92nd annual Academy Awards was full of spectacular moments.

And one film that made history last night was Parasite, which became the very first foreign-language movie to win the top prize of Best Picture. And if that wasn't enough, the movie also scooped the most Oscars of the evening with four - also taking home Best Director (Bong Joon-ho), Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film.

However, during the closing moments of the show, the producers of Parasite understandably wanted to say a few words about their historic win. But after one of the producers had spoken and another approached the microphone, the lights were turned down, the mic was cut, and Jane Fonda took her place to thank everybody for coming and end the show.

But Tom Hanks wasn't having any of it!

Leading the charge on the front row, Hanks, along with Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron, started chanting "UP!" and waving their arms. Soon after, the entire room was screaming for the Parasite team to be giving the time they deserved.

Of course, when Tom Hanks tells you to turn the lights on, you turn the light on, and the Parasite team were able to properly communicate their joy and thanks to the world.

Naturally - just like with anything Tom Hanks does - people quickly took to Twitter to praise his efforts, along with the rest of the front row:
