However, Travis Scott - being Travis Scott - recently decided that there was one important thing he was missing for his upcoming Astroworld tour: a new 'wrap-around' tattoo on his head.
The 26-year-old star, who shares a child with Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner - took to social media yesterday to share a picture of himself on the tattoo artist's table, getting track-marks inked around the side of his skull. Captioning the image "Getting tour ready", he tagged the man who he owed his new inking to, Scott Campbell.
His new markings thrilled many of his followers on Instagram who expressed their approval in the comment section. "damn bro das niit af!? SICKO MODE," wrote Instagrammer @miiromatiass. Social media user @nana_oseiasibey agreed, putting "Head tattoo looks pretty good. If never, but it does", as well as @legenduryjrini who commented saying "That most be painful, but it’s still lit?"
However, others weren't so keen on the Pick Up the Phone star's surprise pre-tour tat, with Instagrammer @lordpainofficial writing: "Looks like someone drove a car over that @travisscott ??.. Lol Why this tattoo". An Instagram user named @ __moldybug__ wasn't so accepting of the new inking either, putting "Why did you do that to your face, come on nowwww", as well as @ivette_rivera_ who put "please dont start putting tattoos all over your face like these new age lame rappers ?".
One person who may or may not have been completely happy either is Travis' girlfriend and baby mummy Kylie Jenner. The 21-year-old businesswoman - who owns her own cosmetics line - got fans speculating when she left a comment under the picture reading "Baby!!!!!!!!"
Was it a disapproving "Baby!!!!!!!!"? A why-didn't-you-tell-me-you-were-getting-a-new-tattoo-baby? Or an excitable baby-that-looks-great kind of thing? It could be anything. Who really knows the inner workings of Kylie Jenner's mind?
The first leg of the Astroworld world tour will see the Butterfly Effect rapper hit up dozens of cities around the United States - including places like Baltimore, Tampa, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and Oakland - and is followed by a European leg, as well as other cities that are yet to be announced.
The star is doing much more than getting a tattoo in order to get his fans hyped for his upcoming shows though. On Tuesday, he announced he was commemorating the success of his number one album by giving away $100,000 to lucky fans through the Cash App.
"SO I KNOW ITS HARD FOR THE KIDS SO I DECIDED TO UNLOAD MY BANK ACCOUNT ON U GUYS," Scott tweeted on Tuesday. "IM BUSTING DOWN $100,000 AND GIVING AWAY TO ANY FANS THAT CAN TWEET ME THERE CASH TAG WITH LYRICS FROM ASTRO. GANG !!", the rapper wrote on social media.
I think it's fair to say that Travis' efforts to get us excited are working!
