Tristan Thompson finally breaks social media silence after Jordyn Woods cheating drama
It's been over a week now, since Khloé Kardashian announced her split from Tristan Thompson, after the cheating rumours that plagued their relationship proved to be just too much this time. It's been a pretty dramatic time since then, don't you think?
Rumours started floating around that Jordyn Woods - yes, that's Kylie Jenner's best friend Jordyn Woods - was the other woman in the situation, apparently getting close to Tristan at a house party, before being spotted leaving his residence early the next morning.
Since then, the fallout's been swift. Tristan and Khloé reportedly pulled the plug, Kylie Jenner kicked Jordyn Woods out of her home (the pair had been living together), and all throughout Instagram, the Kardashians banded together for a series of sad Instagram posts and shady Instagram comments.
We've heard from Kylie, we've heard from Jordyn Woods, we've heard from Kourtney and Kim and of course, we've heard from Khloé in the wake of this cheating scandal. Sources have whispered to us about the inner pain and rage felt between each KarJenner, and it's been something to behold.
But there's one person we hadn't heard anything of just yet. Tristan Thompson briefly posted to his Twitter account, crying "FAKE NEWS" before thinking better of it and deleting the tweet, and for a while, there was nothing on social media. No selfie, no cryptic posts. Nothing.
That is, until now.
Tristan Thompson has caught plenty of heat for his role in the cheating scandal, and once you consider that Khloé had already forgiven him for cheating on her back in April while she gave birth to their daughter True, you can understand people getting frustrated with the 27-year-old.
But the basketball player's first social media contact isn't exactly loaded with contrition. In fact, it's actually got very little to do with the scandal he set into motion. Thompson was in New York with some friends, and perhaps unsurprisingly, he didn't mention the cheating thing at all.
Instead, it's a mostly wordless video of around 10 seconds, where Tristan Thompson raises a glass of wine and toasts his friends, before recording himself drink the glass of wine.
Meanwhile, back in Kardashianland, Khloé took the time on Twitter to thank all of her fans for her support. "Hi loves, wanted you to know that I appreciate you!" she tweeted, and during a difficult time it must be nice to have that online support.
"I’ve been reading your kind words and they really are a blessing to me. I love you! Thank you Thank you! I’ll be back when I’m in the mood to chat with you all. Until then remember to be kind to one another."
Khloé is understandably taking a bit of time to herself following her breakup, but you can bet she'll have seen Tristan's story. And you can bet she'll have quite a bit to say about it too.
